“Their BBQ beef sandwich is second to none in taste and flavor. Owner is friendly and the service is exceptional. We drove about an hour from Katy and it is worth it.”

“The BBQ here is amazing. The sides seem a little small minus the fries. Which you have to oddly pay extra for... but you do get a good portion of meat! I was impressed with the place and prefer it over everywhere else in town personally. Other places are hot and miss. So far I've always left very full and happy.”

“I visited this establishment because of word of mouth and didn't think much about it as I was raised on boats in the trade and have tried seafood from all over. The owners were very kind as we asked for a shaded area to sit. They accommodated us as we asked and I noticed the cooks heavy southern Louisiana accent. When asked he told me of his hometown and family striking my interest in the place further. Being an avid outdoorsman led me to believe he should know his stuff. My fiance and I awaited our meal and WOW! I have to say that it was the BEST boiled crawfish, crab and shrimp I have ever had the pleasure of eating! Highly impressed and full to the rim we waddled back to our vehicle after a Fantastic meal. My fiance and I sat in the truck for at least 5 minutes discussing the Awesome flavors and breathing heavily from so much food. I will certainly return for the start of the season and there after. Thank you Sam Landry for the excellent food and great conversation. As you said, happy wife, happy life! ???????? She was more than happy. See you again soon my friend.”

“So far they have had the best tacos in Alvin. I’ve gone through a few restaurants and this one is the most authentic food here. Highly recommend”

“We stopped in after church today and there were zero cars in the parking lot. We saw they opened a couple days ago and thought we’d try it out. The waitress was very nice and patient with us as we looked over the menu. The food: The pricing is a bit higher than your typical amount spent in Alvin. However, the food was a much better quality than anything else found in Alvin. I had the beef tips burgundy with garlic mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. The flavor was amazing! I wish it had more sauce than it did, but the flavors were great! My husband had the chicken fried chicken with green beans and all of his were great too. The green beans were perfectly seasoned and even our kids ate them without coaxing. The kids meals are your typical fare (hamburgers and chicken tenders), but at $7 each, we decided to have them share an adult portion of fried catfish. It was a good choice because the catfish filets were fresh and nice sized. The way I determine whether or not I like a restaurant is whether or not it’s crave-worthy. The food here definitely was! We’ll definitely be back!”

“Unfortunately I like charcoal..... 2 years later (2019) if you truly had the best customer service out there it would not have taken 2 years for a comment from the " owner " about my review. Sure gas products are cool and that is what many people are going to but still 2 years for a reply? Anyhow keep up the great work Im changing my review to a 5 star just because I like charcoal don't mean this place sells bad product. I suppose my review at 4 stars may have been taken the wrong way and in 2019 we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.”

“I stopped at the drive through and purchased the 12 piece chicken with 2 sides tonight on my way home. The chicken had been freshly cooked and I was given a warning at the window about it being hot. I assured the clerk that I wouldn’t be snacking on the way home. At home I found that the fried okra side order was huge, fresh and very tasty. The chicken is lightly breaded and very tasty. A lot of the other chicken joints in greater Alvin drown the chicken in batter and if it’s late you get the old chicken that’s been hanging around for hours. I stopped at 8:06 PM and got fresh chicken. My wife also approves of this chicken as fresh.”
