We enjoyed this place so much on our trip. There was a wait to be seated, but it was worth it. The food was incredible as well as the service we got from Jesse. From the moment we sat down Jesse came over introduced himself, got our drink order, brought outlr drinks, gave us time to look over the menu, answered questions. Very friendly and tentative to his tables. Their vast menu of drink options, smoothies, breakfast, lunch was a lot to take in. This is a down home Cafe feel with their biscuits and drinks served in Mason jars. The food had a lot of flavor and was not bland at all. Portion sizes were well worth the price paid. I rate this as a must if visiting South padre, just keep in mind get there early help reduce your wait, this restaurant is not open late, but their service and food more than make up for that. We will definitely be back on another trip.
Words literally can’t express how wonderful & delicious this place is! This is our 2nd year in a row we’ve been coming to Padre for vacation & also our second year eating at the Grapevine Cafe, this time we stayed a week and ate here every day for breakfast (brunch). The chicken & waffles is my personal favorite but I’ve tried several other things on the menu and was not disappointed. The manager & owner (whose name escapes my memory) is polite, friendly, & remembered our names by our second visit, he was also working every day to make sure things went smoothly & interacted with every guest which I found amazing! There’s usually a small wait but I promise the food & friendly service is worth it! We’ll be coming back every year even if just for the food 😁 easily one of the best food places on the island! Also if you’re a coffee lover they roast their coffee beans themselves & it’s amazing!
My sister and I got there decently early in the morning around 9 and it looked very busy but luckily they were able to squeeze us in on the bar. We ordered the cinnamon roll french toast and the apple cinnamon pancakes and all I could say was WOW! The food definitely taste as good as it looks, 100% recommend!
Holiday weekend. 4th of July to be exact. Get there early unless you don't mind the wait. Food was great, servers are super nice and attentive. Coffee was great as well. We will definitely be back.
Staff/service were amazing (Thanks Jesus!!)! Food was hands down delicious. We got the loaded hashbrowns, lemon blueberry pancakes, a caramel cream breve, and some refreshers. Everything was perfect! Refresher was out of this world too. Also love that they showcase local artists work for sale!! Loved this painting above our table. Great breakfast choice for our trip!!!
