“If you've never been to South Padre Island, I highly encourage you to add it to your bucket list of places to check out. It's so incredibly beautiful, with it's dreamy blue skies; and clear emerald green waters turned-turquoise-blue. It can often put you in a daze, because the white sands can go on for miles. Not to mention it's a family-friendly island. You can even bring your beloved dog! There is plenty of time to go snorkeling, or on a Dolphin Watch / Eco Tour. Check out the local Turtle Sanctuary, and the local surf shops. Like zip-lining? They've got you covered! Even parasailing for the most adventurous ones. Lastly, they've got an amazing water park that has a walkway to the beach so no compromise will be needed as you can have the best of both worlds. The food is plentiful, and live music ongoing. There's never a dull moment and there's fun activities for just about anyone, that serves a multitude of different interests.”

“Pros: Flavor of my wife's tacos & my philly cheesesteak was amazing! The server was very respectful & nice! Will definitely be returning to this location & will be trying the Brownsville location as well. Cons: My Philly cheesesteak didn't look how it did in the picture I saw on IG. Some of my vegan meat was very, very cold. Our drinks didn't taste like they had liquor in them but the server knew they were kind of lacking & discounted them for us. We definitely will be returning for future visits though because there is A LOT of potential!!”

“If you only have time to stop by one restaurant before leaving the island, Pier 19 has to be it! We recommend starting with the fried pickles! Those juicy Spears are well seasoned. Staff are friendly and give you a home town vibe. We received our food quickly and it was beautifully prepared. We watched the dolphins, sea gulls, and boat tours as we ate. Overall, great food and great experience. We plan to return.”

“The place was hopping at 5:30 on Saturday night. The food we ordered was great. We traveled to many restaurants to have similar food and this place is spectacular for the price! Service staffs were tentatively yet not overly bothersome. Mac and cheese from the kid menu was a full size portion, just FYI in case you bring your kid here. Highly recommended.”

“Being an owner in the food industry, you tented to have a sense of quality over cheap. This place definitely understands the quality side of service! Food was excellent and deliciously flavored. Personally had the Big Chief Burger, Mahi Tacos (recommend doubling the corn tortillas), & outstanding Dockside Shrimp Nachos. Definitely a must try when visiting the island!”

“The food was very good! I had the fish basket and my kids had the burgers. The crab cake is meh, I wouldn't recommend, not $8 for one. One of the burgers was under cooked, the manager was very polite and apologetic! The bathrooms were a bit dirty! One major issue I had was the bus service. They waited by our table staring at us awkwardly. They cleaned our table without giving us a chance to leave. One of the ladies even SNATCHED the basket from my wife. If it wasent for the other lady with her correcting her I would have. The service needs work, Staff isn't very inviting!! All in all the food is good however I WILL NOT RETURN! Good food isn't enough to excuse rude behavior!”

“Pineapple Ninjaz is the Best, so last night at around 8:45pm I decided I wanted Pineapple Ninjaz I called the number on google and asked what time did they close at was told 10pm. I was like damn I’m coming from mission. I wouldn’t make it to the island in time. The staff told me they would stay open till 11pm to make sure we made.🤯. I was Shocked the level of customer service. Sure enough when I showed up. They were still open and were happy we made it. Food was phenomenal. Staff was happy and energetic. It was an amazing dining experience. Thanks Again for all that y’all do.”

“Quality of food was good and fresh. Value for the cost, overpriced. These two dishes cost $25. Presentation was not worth the price. Would I come to eat here again, probably not.”

“The ambiance, the decor is top notch. The food is phenomenal, especially if you are looking for New York style pizza. They use fresh ingredients. Our server Nadia was phenomenal, professional and courteous. Even manager came over to check on us. They care for their customers. Definitely recommend everyone if you are in town.”

“We came in on a rainy day and no one was there. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly. Restaurant was clean. We had a total of 8 people in our party. We order a few shakes, which they messed up on, they were supposed to be Oreo Strawberry crumbles and we just got strawberry shakes. A few of the burgers were a little dry and they did completely forget one whole order on the order of 8. Nothing really amazing about the food it is an average burger joint”

“Had a great time here, our chef, Alex, for Hibachi was among the best I’ve ever had in all my hibachi places I’ve eaten at. He was funny, energetic, and made the experience for us! My steak was cooked perfectly, and the shrimp and chicken were fantastic, some places I’ve had are over cooked, it not here! Both the shrimp and chicken were tender and juicy and were phenomenal! I saw some bad reviews on here about service, and I can confidently say that we did not experience any of that and that they went above and beyond in terms of our expectations. If you are in the area, I HIGHLY recommend coming here for Japanese! I also has a sushi roll and it too was very good.”

“Menu offers a great selection of seafood, Mexican and pasta. Homemade dressing and key lime pie was the best I have ever had and that’s saying something. Owners are locals and have a very good staff which makes the dining experience unique. I do not think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Our group each had something different and we all said the quality was excellent. I am from Greenville, South Carolina and I have no ties to this restaurant. I very seldom review anything but I had to let you know this one’s a gem! Jim Sampson”

“Forever love this place. You can’t beat the price and the freshness of the food! I like that you can customize and add the ingredients you want. The staff is also very friendly and can make recommendations based on your tastes. The serving itself is bit. I’ll usually go at it for lunch and dinner. The best! Picture shows half eaten food. Large portions!”

“Went today with my wife and kid. Wait was about 15 minutes on a Wednesday night. It was totally worth it. Kids pizza was awesome. My boy ate 3 slice. The calzone I ordered was one of the best I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly. The fries were soggy and didn't taste too great. My wife had some seafood dish that she said was the best she has had on the island so far. Service was great. Prices are a little high, but this is pretty close to fine dining standards on the island.”

“Excellent service; we were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. Delicious food with amazing presentation. I’ve never seen or tasted such a pancake - about an inch thick and extremely fluffy! Our Summer Omelet and California Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection as were the home fries and toast. Reasonably priced; plenty of seating indoors and out; also a separate “to-go” counter. Great place — my only regret is that I wish we’d gone there sooner!”

“Tell you what we are on vacation from Chicago and I'm used to chicago food which is delicious in so many ways . How ever I was looking for a taco place to go eat at and came across this restaurant. I was skeptical to come here from the beginning especially cuz it's in a holiday inn. But boy was I wrong...wow I was actually amazed about they're food taste it was really freaking good, home made tortilla, salsas, and the fajitas were so freaking good and I got the burrito and I will be back before we leave.”

“It's weird for an Hotel to have a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food is cooked fresh, taste great and is decent value. I was a way choice to eat here multiple times.”
