South Padre Island

I’ve been a local for 10 months now and it’s the best move I’ve ever made. Great weather,people and the best beaches in Texas.

If you've never been to South Padre Island, I highly encourage you to add it to your bucket list of places to check out. It's so incredibly beautiful, with it's dreamy blue skies; and clear emerald green waters turned-turquoise-blue. It can often put you in a daze, because the white sands can go on for miles. Not to mention it's a family-friendly island. You can even bring your beloved dog! There is plenty of time to go snorkeling, or on a Dolphin Watch / Eco Tour. Check out the local Turtle Sanctuary, and the local surf shops. Like zip-lining? They've got you covered! Even parasailing for the most adventurous ones. Lastly, they've got an amazing water park that has a walkway to the beach so no compromise will be needed as you can have the best of both worlds. The food is plentiful, and live music ongoing. There's never a dull moment and there's fun activities for just about anyone, that serves a multitude of different interests.

The island just has a dirty feel to it, IMO. I’m sure that statement wont be a popular one, but that’s the beauty of differing preferences and opinions ☺️

Been twice, due to daughters competition cheer, and won’t be back for personal leisure. I’ll continue drive (or fly) the extra hours for Orange Beach or 30A

Always a must when we visit family. It’s perfect. Water is great. Kids have so much fun. Best family fun time 💗

One of the best vacation spots I've been to. The weather is amazing, especially in mid October. We stayed for 7 days and there is so much to do and see we will have to go back a couple of more times. Very affordable place to go, safe, warm water and the ocean is nice. Book a trip and enjoy.
