“Stayed here for a Club's 2 day tournament, rooms were basic and nice. Outside cooking areas available, plenty of room for your truck & boat with plenty of plugs for charging your batteries. Wifi worked great, and the TV may have been small but it worked! Food was good and they were there on time in the morning for the fishermen. Very quiet, and 1/4 mile from the boat ramp. On a side note, I have stayed all over this state fishing club tournaments and it's rare to run into people who worked so hard to make sure we/everyone was taken care of and were happy if you stayed there or not. Thank you guys for a great stay.”

“The lodging was amazing!! The rooms so comfortable and had all the modern conveniences, including an espresso machine. The bedding amazing!! The communal fridge was perfect to keep our wine and snacks in. The pool and decks and all outdoor spaces were inviting and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner was incredible. The food was so tasty and the service was 2nd to none!! A perfect weekend getaway with your significant other or good friends.”

“Fantastic BBQ, we had 2 orders of Briskets and a brisket sandwich, great food. Big O ( I guess was his name) put in 2 ribs as they only serve them on Friday in my to go order. I had them in the freezer for 10 days. Heated them up in the microwave and they were still hands down the best I ever had. No sauce needed, that beats them all.”

“I drive all over Texas for work purposes and I always enjoy trying restaurants in small towns along the way. I eat a lot bbq and my favorite tends to be smoked ham. However the gentleman that greeted me informed me that they only had brisket although he used the words "a fine brisket." Let me tell you folks...the man was humble and that was an understatement. That brisket was fantastic and one of the best chopped sandwiches Ive had in a long time. My only regret is that I took my order on the road to speed up my trip home. Now i wish i would have eaten there so i could have ordered another sandwich! I will definitely be back the next time Im driving through Coleman.”

“Very clean, nice restrooms. Store is clean and nice with a nice selection of drinks and snacks. There is a grill to order hot foods and you can eat there with indoor and outside eating areas. Cashier was very friendly. I come through Coleman at least once a year, sometimes more, and I have never been to this store. ( I have never even seen it!? I think it must be pretty new) This store is much nicer than the other store I would normally stop at when passing through. I will definitely stop here in the future and I recommend this store!”

“Always a plus when a resturant accommodates an allergy. Cattle Drive Cafe is Latex friendly. The staff was super friendly, food was hot, and portions were filling. They even had live music on the Friday night we visited. The atmosphere was family friendly. We were seated and served in no time. We ordered the steak sandwich and it was so yummy. We look forward to going again when in the area.”

“This was our first time eating here. Friendly staff and environment was very calm. It was a nice change. It was priced maybe a little higher than what people feel pizza should be but for this area it felt like upscale. 100$ fir 3 people that included 3 pizzas,2 root beers,2 sweet teas, and 2 espresso floats along with some cheese and bread for appetizer. I say priced fair.”

“Delicious dinner with laid back friendly, personal service. I highly recommend the pear martini, the NY strip steak and the chocolate pot de crepe! My husband had the pecan pie bread pudding and it was out of this world, hands down best we’ve had anywhere (and he’s a connoisseur).”

“It was open on a Monday and not much is out here. That already gained points, and the pineapple and pork combination I had in my tacos was absolutely amazing. I was glad I took a chance on it. Short staff so drinks were made available self serve which isn't a problem for me personally and lets them focus on the important part which is the food.”

“I've been coming here for as long as I can remember this is the best fried chicken in the whole world I swear. I live in Houston and when I go down to visit family Santa Anna I will drive to Coleman just to get this. When I lived in New Mexico I would drive back home just to get the best fried chicken.”

“Unbelievably affordable, great polite service, portions are almost too big, home style atmosphere. Warm, cozy, quite, friendly. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. Thank you. Penny was our amazing server. I hope to drive by here again. The sign is hard to see but look for it, it's worth it.”
