My goodness if you have not eaten here you MUST! This is classic Texas style southern home cookin' t it's best. Literally everything is good here. My favorite is the blue plate special - chicken fried steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, corn. So good! Inside the decor is like an old 1950's style diner. Great service too.

I would give 3.5 stars because my girlfriends meal was good both times. I've had the Country breakfeast twice. The first time I had the Chicken Fried Chicken, 2 eggs over easy, biscuit and grits with cheese and bacon sprinkled in. The grits were watery which as a southern person is not desirable. I really liked the chicken Fried chicken and biscuit. The second time I had the Chicken Fried Chicken, 2 eggs over easy, wheat toast and hash browns. The hash browns were very under cooked and the Chicken Fried Chicken gravy was noticeably salty I really liked the over easy eggs both times. However I find that there is inconsistency with several items that are delivered with the meal. There are other local establishments that are more consistent with their food offerings.

Great option if you want a home cooked meal but don't want to bother making it. Everything is affordable and really good. I recommend the pot roast. VERY popular with the elderly on weekend mornings. Also, bring a light jacket, it's always kind of cold.

Oh my sweet peach cobbler. "Life is uncertain, eat dessert first," suggested page one of the menu. Best peach cobbler, very good cheesecake! Ordered their famous chicken fried steak and it came out quickly. Since the restaurant was full, we were expecting more of a wait. I would get the mac & cheese, the black eyed peas and the mashed potatoes again. Pass on overcooked green beans and under-glazed carrots. Tons of rustic atmosphere. Norma's really embraces the nostalgic diner and makes it work well. 10/10, will go again. And eat dessert first!
