Little slice of heaven in Texas. Had lunch (brisket and gumbo) and the only down side is that I am only in town one day so will not be able to go back soon.
Great and friendly service, and truly delicious food.
I will go out of my way to visit again when I am in town
Ordered brisket sandwich, corn pudding and macaroni. Brisket was great sides not so much. I’m not sure the corn pudding was cooked all the way because it was really wet and wasn’t sweetened not even the slightest The macaroni was completely flavorless, it didn’t even taste light cheese. It was missing salt and cheese. However, the sides are worth the price. This place has potential if their sides was better, but I would rather not keep wasting money to find out. The staff was very friendly and explained the menu well.
Brisket 5 stars.
Corn pudding 1 star
Macaroni 0 stars
This is just my opinion so please don’t take it personal.
Been to a lot of barbecue places in my day, and sadly all of them miss it on the sides. This please has got them down pat. Had the potato salad and macaroni and cheese and were extremely impressed by them. Todd, the owner, takes time to speak to all the customers and is an all-around nice guy. I can see why this barbecue place was rated so high and we will definitely be back again.
New BBQ joint opened near the house so had to come in and give it a try with a few hungry friends. Definitely a hidden gem that I luckily heard about and drive by daily. It's located in the corner of the shopping center off the tollway.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, and great flavors. I personally don't like using much sauces that take over the taste, and this place has great smoky flavors so I didn't do much bbq sauce dipping. Saw many in there ordering a huge burger that had a little bit of everything in it that I will try next time I'm in the area for lunch by myself.
Great place, great food, great people. The staff were friendly. Todd was welcoming. The brisket was awesome. Try the sides. they are better than the usual sides found at a BBQ place.
