Local Diner - Coppell, TX

Retro diner with southern style home cooking. Breakfast and brunch are served all day. I had the chicken fried steak and mash potatoes. It comes with a roll which I did not eat. I added on a side of fresh spinach. Everything was very good. The mash potatoes are made with lumps of potato and they tasted great. The service was ok. We had a family with two little kids sit right behind me and the kids weren't well behaved, but that's not the diner's fault. Atmosphere is retro 50s-60s style. The dining room was a little chilly. I will go back again.

Frequently visit Local Diner for breakfast and lunch. Attentive, friendly service, fun vintage diner atmosphere, and truly the BEST sweet potato fries on Earth! Perfect place for families. Comfortable seating at tables, booths, and at the counter, too.

Great food Lots of choices. Friendly staff. Best part is they bring you a little carafe of coffee so you can refill at your leisure!

Stopped by for lunch and this place was great. We were sat down right away and had our drink orders taken. The service was very quick and the turkey club I had was fantastic. Best part was the fries.

Fantastic little dinner with a lot of charm and great service. Like a diner straight out of the 50s this place is small but each booth has plenty of room which is ideal because they serve some of the biggest pancakes I've ever seen. While the menu isn't revolutionary the quality of the food is top notch and there are plenty of options, including healthy variations. Plus, the Coppell location sits at the corner of a quaint little "town square" surround by shopping, a park and a coffee joint. You can't go wrong.
