Cheapsteaks

Go there for the 8-ounce sirloin. (Mine was spot-on medium rare.) It is a beautiful looking cut of meat, and just as flavorful as it looks. Was it chewy? Not too tender, not too tough... a good satisfying mouthful of chew. I think I really like their thin seasoned fries, too. Good meal at a really decent price... hard to find any more, but I think I've found it.
Had to beg for silverware. The waitress was friendly, if vacant. Still, I liked the relaxed atmosphere. The place was nearly empty, though... so easy to relax.

Cheapsteaks was a great addition to Deep Ellum. Moderately priced good food with live music. It reminds me of a place that would thrive pre pandemic. If I'm in the area I'll swing back in.

Fantastic venue, vibe and friendly staff. Outdoor patio in the back with the heaters was great. Never struggled to find seating indoors either. The open mic venue was too much fun. Amazing talent Dallas. Bartender was very accommodating in making my new york sour, even though they were out of sour mix and he never made one before. He was still determined to make it happen and that he did! Appreciated that.

Where can you get a good steak for a decent price? This is it! It’s a simple steak that comes with fries. They also have other amazing sides. Try their Brussel sprouts! They are tossed in an amazing sauce. They have a nice secluded patio in the back and offer a full bar. They also have an indoor and outdoor stage. This is a great place for a steak fix without breaking the bank! I will be visiting again!
