My husband decided to stop by and try them out this Wednesday night and we are so glad that we did. The food was fresh and delicious! They also did not disappoint with the sweet tea. The host Justin was extremely welcoming and made our first experience a great one. We plan to revisit soon.
I've visited the location in Fort Worth and it was about the same. So consistency doesn't seem to be lacking. For $20.00 I expected at least 2 slices of brisket and more than a serving spoon of pulled pork. The potato salad looks good but is SUPER dry ( basically a cold smashed loaded potato with a tablespoon of ranch dressing) . The fries were tasty, as was the sauce. Nothing outstanding as far as the meat BUT you will get a generous amount of sides.
Meats were pretty darn good but the SIDES were bomb!!! Onion rings made in-house and the Mac n cheese was top notch. I worry about this place making it because of pricing though. It's too expensive for a lunch spot. Perhaps a lunch special with a sandwich including fries. Superior service. Also when you google this restaurant it will not come up except the one in a different city, you should fix that. :) TONS OF PARKING. So many Yelp whiners have reviewed this place. Go here and try it. Maybe they'll add a lunch plate option soon.
Pulled Pork and Pepper Jack sausage were delicious. Brisket was super moist, but could have a bit more flavor. Mac & Cheese was good, but I think they could have more side options. Overall, a bit pricey but a great option for TX BBQ in Dallas. For those who stated that it wasn't open, it's fully open and very busy. They're just not open every day.
If you're a fan of Central Texas, Hill Country style barbecue; you owe it to yourself to try this place out. Having gone to their Fort Worth location plenty of times, these folks knocked it out of the park on their very first day. Barbecue was good, bar was well stocked, and there was plenty of seating for all- just expect a line to make it in!
