La Mina

La Mina is cute little spot hidden in Dallas. The ambience is cozy and it is usually not very crowded even on weekends. The food is delicious and the portions are perfect. The drinks are the highlight of the restaurant. A highly recommended place.

Omg what a gem! Finally a nice place that has typical Mexican dishes. First off, it is a bit hidden since it’s underneath the hotel in the village. Follow the path to the signs of the restaurant. FYI-If you park in the parking garage they don’t validate parking.

First we were given chips and salsa that we loved. They tasted fresh and salsa was yummy. For drinks we got the HH margarita- I recommend on the rocks than frozen. I also got the tamarindo en mi mente which was delicious!

For an appetizer we got the tlayuda de barbacoa and omg it was DELICIOUS! My husband was really surprised since we felt like we were back in Mexico. ❤️

We also ordered the carne asada which was just as delicious. They serve it over a white bean with a salsa macha de pepitas and they serve it HOMEMADE corn tortillas. Which is always appreciated!! Thank you! We were so stuffed we got the rest to go since we HAD to try a dessert and opted for the chocoflan and boy did we love it!!

Our waiter was super helpful when we asked about items on the menu and we asked about the speakeasy bar but he said they are only open Thurs-Sat. We hope to come back and check that out as well since they seem to offer more cocktails on their speakeasy menu.

Overall we loved our experience since the food was on point (mad props to the chef 👏🏼) drinks were delicious and the dining area was super clean, as well as the restrooms. Will be coming back for sure!!

We stopped in early and quickly today for happy hour, and everything was great! I had the house margarita and the guacamole and enjoyed both tremendously. The inside space is dimly lit and perfect for a date. The patio is spacious and has a great view of the village. I would highly recommend La Mina for a romantic evening or girls night. Yum!

This is has to be my favorite place in Dallas! Discovered this restaurant when staying at the beautiful Drey hotel last year and have been back a few times since. The whole complex is beautiful and stylish. The food and drinks are fantastic. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Love the design and layout of this restaurant and has a cool ambiance and vibe. Always a great time here and every meal here has been fantastic.
