Silver Thai Cuisine The Colony

Came here cuz of the reviews. Had the pot stickers and Pad Kee Mow. Also, got the Tom Yum that came with the lunch special. Everything was great. Found my new favorite Thai spot.

We just tried this place for the first time tonight, ordered to-go. I believe it’s fairly new, and I can’t imagine starting out in this kind of atmosphere with the current circumstances due to covid-19. It’s so important to support local businesses right now and I was so happy to find a Thai restaurant so close to my new apartment.

I am a big Thai food enthusiast so my expectations are always pretty high when trying out a new place. I will say, Silver Thai exceeded all my expectations. We ordered the original sampler platter off the appetizer menu and then one order of red curry with chicken. The apps were amazing. It’s obvious they use only the highest quality ingredients and I loved the creativity - definitely not stuff you see at every Thai place. My personal fav was the sunwrapped shrimp. Now onto the red curry... WOW, incredible flavor! I find most places overcook the chicken so it usually turns out a bit rubbery and tough... not here! Their chicken was cooked to perfection. I’m excited to go back and try other things on the menu. I’m also excited to dine in eventually because it’s so cute inside!! Do yourself a favor and give this place a chance, you will not regret it!

Best to-go option during quarantine. The Red Curry was incredible and the chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. The Original Sampler Platter is a unique showcase of their starters, all of which were delicious; especially the 'famous bags of gold'-with its euphoric flavor and texture. My girlfriend and I are always in search of the next best Thai food in DFW, and it will be nearly impossible to find a place that can top Silver Thai!

So happy about the new location! I’ve been to the Allen one plenty of times. The food is to die for, service is quick and the bartender knows how to make fancy drinks. The staff is very friendly. I definitely recommend this place. The beef jerky is my favorite.

My friend and I ordered pad thai and chicken lettuce wraps and met them owner Ken who has very friendly. The food was amazing! We were both more than happy with our delicious food. I moved here recently and haven’t been able to find a Thai place I like until now.
