Alamo Drafthouse Cinema LaCenterra

We love Alamo and have always had a good experience. Today was not good.
We got there 30 minutes before our movie. Our waitress showed up right away and took our drink orders. We finally got our beverages 39 minutes later and she was no where to be seen. Our entire row had our little lights on for her to come take our food order. She finally showed up, took the entire rows orders while the movie was about 15 minutes in. All of us were there before the movie started.
We finally got our food in the last 20 minutes of the movie. (It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our food) It seemed as if our food had sat under the heating lamp for a while, one of our sandwiches was hard on top and soggy on the bottom, the pizzas weren’t good, not sure what they’ve done. Their crust used to be very good. Not so much today. We rushed to finish our meals. There’s only a 10 minutes turn around to get you out of the theater.
Not sure what happened today. Short staff? Only saw our waitress a few times. Order drinks, order food and take our credit card, drop off our bill
Not the normal for Alamo. Hopefully just a bad day. Not ordering pizza again which is sad, it used to be so good.

I've been going to the Drafthouse for over 20 years since they got started in Austin. Never had a bad experience. Food and drinks are the best. Seats are very comfortable. They also are always having fun events for movie goers of all ages. Would highly recommend.

The Alamo Drafthouse at LaCenterra was clean, as usual. The space was quiet as you walk through. The restrooms were clean as usual. The seats were comfy. I think they were short of staff this last time. I requested a drink refill and never received it. I also requested some barbeque and never received it. If you like movie theaters and need a job, please go apply there. :)

I haven't been to an Alamo Drafthouse since the one at the West Oaks Mall closed. I was excited to go back.

The new seats are nice. The beer selection was good. The food was pretty decent. And I really like that they have kept the paper ordering system.

But man was the service terrible. And not for lack of effort. The wait staff was friendly and honest trying hard. But almost nothing went right. We ordered drinks and food as soon as we sat down. Our drinks and my food came out quickly. My wife didn't arrive for more than an hour. They brought her a pizza six times (not what she ordered). I'm not exaggerating, six times. They finally realized they sent her fish and chips to the wrong table and had to reorder it from the kitchen. During the wait, we ordered a second round of drinks. My second beer never arrived. I had to order a third beer to receive a second one.

I want to love this place, but tonight was rough.

Great atmosphere! The people are chilled and very helpful. The staff and servers are generous and really do care for you to have the movie experience. The prices of their food is a bit expensive but it did taste really good. I got a cup of coffee and it was actually pretty good! Great place to watch movies after all!
