Waited WAY to long to try this place. Awesome, fresh cooked southern food. Braised oxtails are to die for! Best fried chicken I've tasted in ages. A definite must if you are in the area!

Decided we were in need of comfort food. We had the lamb chops, black eyed peas, and mashed potatoes. The lamb chops were by far the best I have ever eaten! The black eyed peas could have used a little more seasoning and the mashed potatoes had a flavor I wasn’t expecting. Service was wonderful-the prices were in lines with our expectations. We will be back!! Thank you ?? ?

First time here, good place with great food. Food seemed to be made once ordered as it took a few minutes but it came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Easily, it was worth the wait for food this tasty and fresh. Family ordered the catfish plate and bowl of gumbo. Gumbo roux was the best I have tasted in years in the Houston area. The catfish was fried perfectly, hot, and had nice flavor to the batter that was used. I haven't had a great experience in the Richmond area around the Grand Parkway when it comes to the food or service, but this place was a delicious breath of fresh air. Definitely coming back to this place.

Oh, be ready for a real bowl-sized gumbo. Not the little Pappadeaux's, over-priced cereal bowl, but a real hearty, fill you up bowl.

Wow!!! I’ve never had such delicious food, except for my mother’s!!! How in the world??? I had the smothered pork chops and they were tender and very flavorful, the flavors just dance in your mouth and everything just melts in your mouth I don’t even know how to describe this, but it’s as if I was sitting next to Beethoven listening to the most beautiful sonata! Or like I was a newborn baby just bathed and fed and all swaddled up in a cozy warm blanket! It is amazing!!!! The portions are huge so I didn’t even come close to finishing my meal. The young girl at the cash register was super sweet and helpful! I will definitely give 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and will highly recommend this family owned restaurant. It’s like a breath of fresh air from all the same ole’ same ole’

If I could give 10Stars! I wish I can Give you guys 1000! I am literally FULLY STUFFED! Great & Clean atmosphere, great staff! TRUE SOUTHERN SOUL food ! When it really hits my soul & reminds me of my mother’s and aunt Ann cooking and then you will need a nap after !! I just ordered on my lunch break and had the entire office looking at my plates, as the aromas made their mouth just water!! Surely returning after with the rest of my coworkers,I LOVE THESE GUYS!
