Howdy Hot Chicken

Tried this place out and it was delicious! Chicken was super juicy yet crispy on the outside. I am a huge fan of coleslaw and it didn’t overpower the sandwich at all just the right amount. They have 5 heat levels and I got the medium. It was spicy for someone who eats spicy meals on a daily. From a scale of 1-10 a solid 7.5. Cute in the inside hopefully this business keeps going for the long run. Seen this location have different businesses over the years. Also I had great customer service today compared to other reviewers stating that it wasn’t great. I have no complains, most definitely returning.

Best chicken! Great place with the best manager... Nelson was so helpful and truly cares about customer service. It feels great going to a place that is not just about the money and wants to ensure best customer experience! Will definitely continue to come here again and again! Highly recommended!

In a sea of ever-growing hot chicken spots in Houston, Howdy Hot Chicken stands out!

I visited on a whim for lunch and was greeted with a resounding "Howdy" from the staff. The "heat-o-meter" guide was helpful with making my selection. I like a little spice and opted for the "Heat up - Medium" and a side of macaroni.

If you like a little heat, this was the perfect choice. It was spicy enough to make my tastebuds sweat but not beg for mercy. The sweet and crunchy slaw was welcome relief just when your taste buds thought they couldn't handle anymore. I applaud anyone who can take on the "Have Mercy -Hot" sammie. The macaroni even had a hint of heat to it, with thick cheese and Howdy seasoning, this is true Texas mac, the kind you can hear! Even the bun was airy yet flavorful, made with real ingredients.

While fairly easy to navigate, the menu encompassed all I wanted from a hot-chicken spot. Definately a must visit if you are in the Sugarland area!

Not what I expected.......... $32 for 2 chicken sandwiches, fries and a drink is too much for lunch. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. I got the mild and it was plenty hot but had little real flavor. Place was clean and everybody was practicing social distancing and wearing mask.

This was my first visit, but won't be my last for sure! The restaurant was super clean, the employees were smiling, and the food was super fresh and fast. I ordered the Howdy Sammie and I was not disappointed with the taste or the portion. I cannot comment on the sides because the sandwich was huge and it was all I ordered. Houston has been in need of a hot chicken place and I'm glad this restaurant landed close to my house.
