Tortuga Mexican Kitchen

It would be hard to find something not to like about this place. It was the first meal I had after getting in town. Great Mexican selection and food, fun decor, super service and decent price. Around good place for us!!

I came to this restaurant on Friday for my birthday. This location is a really great spot off the sea wall. The waitress we had was attentive and really nice. There flavored house margaritas are entirely too sweet. The chicken fajitas were chewy and the tortillas tasted like the were store bought and not real tortillas. The rice was hard and not fresh. I did not request new food, as I was on vacation and didn’t not want to wait for new food because it was extremely busy. The experience was amazing and the view was great but the food was terrible. Will not be visiting this location again when I visit.

A really good place. I've only been here once but the tacos that I got here that night were really good. It was a really good meal on the second night of a cross country road trip.

This is our favorite stop in Galveston. There has even been talk of our family making the 6 hour trip for the sole purpose of eating here. Hasn't happened yet but in time. Great salsa and great seafood based Mexican. The traditional beef and chicken is wonderful to but when at the beach you have to eat like it.

Good Tex Mex! Very large portions, easily shareable dishes, making it very reasonably priced! My husband had the stuffed jalapeños and said they were excellent. Warmed salsa & chips were wonderful! Would have liked to have tried the funnel cake but there was no room for dessert...will go back just for that, if time allows.
