    Anyone says the food isn't all that,, has no clue on real Mexican food!!!! This is real and real damn good.. staff was good to very good.. price was great. All the places we ate at and all the $$$$ we spent.,,,, this was by far the cheapest meal and the BEST!!! a must try for all and Si i will be back.

    Food was great! Finally a good authentic Mexican place in Texas. Being from California we are used to good authentic Mexican. This place has great food. Great portions and great prices. I will be back again. The beans were wonderful!

    Best restaurant we've been to in Galveston, and we've been everywhere. The menu has a huge selection of breakfast items (including fried plantains) and other Mexican favorites. EVERYTHING is exceptionally delicious and beautifully plated. Prices, atmosphere and staff are also amazing.

    *** edit: we went back about a year later on our next trip down to Galveston... dinner service is definitely not the same as breakfast. Poor service, wrong orders... not impressed. Taking away two stars and quite sad about it.

    Great tasting food! Our group got 7 different dinners, and they were all good. Despite the Google note, Gorditas does take credit cards.
