A friend who grew up in Gonzales told me about Rodeo with a good recommendation. I tried it. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong dish (tacos suaves de pollo), but it was somewhat tasteless. The tortillas the chicken was in were mushy, not just soft. Chicken was bland. The hot sauce was okay. I used a couple of bowls to give the dish some punch. Mexican rice just okay. Frijoles were the consistency of baby food, completely smooth and not much flavor. All in all edible but pretty flavorless. -
