The food was amazing and everyone was so helpful and friendly! We will definitely be going back soon!
Came in on a Thursday, around 6:30p. It's basically steam tables sectioned into main dishes and sides. You have a choice of plate combos with desserts at the end.
It's in a relatively new strip center and this place was previously a Greek restaurant. I hope the neighborhood embraces this one as it has specialties that were delicious! Hubby and a friend both had the oxtail and cleaned their plates. I had the tasty goat. It was tender with a lot of flavor.
The owner, Clinton said the recipes are authentic and some of the menu items change from time to time. He did note that the heat was toned down for American tastes and gave us condiment servings of tamarind, sweet and habanero sauces to adjust to our heat level.
He gave us a little sample of the desserts, which gave us a better idea of what to order next time we're on this side of town.
Will definitely try the macaroni pie next visit!
Sooooo happy about this place opening!!!! Food is DELICIOUS authentic, clean, and good. The personnel are so friendly and owner seemed like a nice person
Okay I'm sold! This is my second time this week going to Chaconia Caribbean restaurants and I am extremely impressed. I spoke with the owner today and he is extremely passionate about the food and his culture. The dishes are authentic. Today I ordered the goat, rice and some sort of spinach dish. The oxtails are season to perfection and are tender. I'm crazy about oxtails, and today's oxtails were DELICIOUS! ????
This is not your ordinary restaurant it doesn't have your standard menu. Which is rare and I like. The menu changes from time to time. The owner was telling me that next week he is preparing different dishes such as corn soup which I researched and is usually done on Carnival. You can tell that this is this family purpose and passion and to feed people with their awesome food. After eating my food I did daydream about the Caribbean.
If you are a foodie like me and like adventure go check them out. The portions are big and the price is extremely reasonable! I'm definitely a regular and will be there once a week if not more.
Absolutely delicious! Flavor was great on everything I had and very friendly staff and owners! Happy to have you in the neighborhood!
