This place was incredible! Service was excellent, food was amazing! There were so many delicious looking things on the menu that my waitress had to help me out with a recommendation. I'm glad I listened to her, the BBQ Brisket Burger was out of this world. The fries were really good too. And then she talked me into getting the key lime pie, it was every bit as good as everything else was.
Very, very good food! The owner is very friendly and inviting. This place is very clean (I judge a place to eat by their bathrooms, so forgive me) 😁. He not only has great BBQ but there are always meals he creates as specials. Always happy to go into a place where there is a lot to chose from, but he has a platter to taste a little of it all. This place does not sell alcohol because the owner likes to focus on the great food. So he allows you to bring in a six pack.
Because what goes great with BBQ? LOL. This is a must eatery.
One of the things I love about my job is I get to discover so many hidden gems in the East End of Houston! I finally got to try this place out! Service was amazing and parking was easy. It is a great local family owned place to eat.
I got turkey, sausage, ribs, brisket, mac & cheese and potato salad. My favorite was the brisket, ribs and potato salad. The meat was so tender and the potato salad was better than mom's (don't tell her I said that) I would highly recommend eating here if you love barbecue because it did not disappoint!
First time ever. I'm not a BBQ person. The place was VERY CLEAN! THE food was very good. Beans were awesome! Owner was courteous, seemed knowledgeable, service was great. You have to Go.you will like it.
The owner Danny H. really did it this time. This place is a hit and its local in the neighborhood. The owner wears his sleeve on his shoulder and put care in everything he does. He greets everyone with a big smile and makes everyone feel at home. There is plenty of parking, plenty of seating and delicious bites. The price for the food is excellent and not overpriced like some of the other so called BBQ places in town. The home made coleslaw is amazing with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Our kids loved the mac and cheese and the green beans had so much flavor. The brisket sandwich was a good portion and so juicy. The meat just melts in your mouth. If your looking for something new and want to have your socks blown away, then stop by the Harris County General Store BBQ Company. Thanks Danny for making us feel at home and we wish you the best with this business. Keep it up :)
