Carrabba's - The Original On Kirby

The original Carrabba's is absolutely one of my favorite places in Houston to dine and get a nice cocktail or glass of wine. Great bar scene and the food... come on. Not surprising, there's no shortage of well motivated, skilled and mature wait staff and bartenders to accommodate your every need. If you want something off menu, they'll make it happen. Didn't notice the veal chop on menu last time I visited, but it's one of my favorite go-to's. Unfortunately, am unable to say or give 5 stars to hardly any other peer restaurants in this space and price point. Perhaps, this will change in time? Am not holding my breath. Until then, you know where to find me.

We just celebrated a birthday yesterday! The service provided was impeccable! Edgar our waiter went over and beyond to make sure all of our guests were attended to. Travis made things happen when we asked for a bigger space to accommodate everyone! Thank you for making our celebration even more special! Ask for the best waiter ever, Edgar!! He knows how to handle a big party, you can tell he’s very experienced.

Amazing dinner. A well cooked calamari to a crisp house salad to start. The wait staff does a great job, very attentive and well mannered. The manager came and checked on us a few times during dinner as well which was nice. The food was all cooked to perfection and delicious. We had cafe drinks after dinner, suggested by our waiter, and they were well made.

Will be back!

We came here last weekend at the recommendation of a friend. We had an exquisite evening from the beginning to end. There were 4 of us. We ordered wine, appetizers, their specials and desserts, coffee and port. Everything was amazing. Service was attentive and just right. The restaurant was busy but cozy. Highly recommend this place.

I usually go to the other Carrabba's and they're a bit more casual so when we went inside the original one, just because it was the closest one to us at that time, it took us by surprise how fancy everything was. The menu also took us by surprise with their food prices being double at what they are in the other Carrabba's and we weren't mentally prepared to spend 30 bucks per dish. So to say we thought of shamefully leaving but then they already brought our water and the complimentary bread out and it was too late and it would be rude to leave so we stayed and had to order. A good choice I would say, because the food we ordered was delicious and the service was good too. Maybe next time we can actually dress accordingly instead of looking like we just woke up. The food seemed better than the other Carrabba's and of course the service too.
