El Paraiso was a new restaurant choice for me, courtesy of a friend's recommendation. I was pleased at the large number of menu items, solid food choices, and the prompt and friendly service. It seems a bit of a 'hole in the wall' kind of restaurant, as it looks small from outside. Once inside its actually very spacious, with good window views and lots of seating. The decorations and atmosphere of the place are definitely of Latin flavor, and the Mexican/Tex Mex foods were tasty, flavorful, and came in good sized portions. Prices are moderate for the fare, and the waitstaff were quick and efficient. Peak hours means you might have to park one or two streets back, but usually there's parking available. I've dined there for about a year now and enjoyed it each time.

It’s not The Best Tex-Mex but I only had a few dishes here. My pork chop was like chewing a tire so I don’t suggest it. They do serve breakfast all day so there’s a plus. There is no bar which means they only serve beer and pre mixed margaritas, this brought my rating down quite a bit. The prices are fair and the guacamole was very fresh. If you’re close try it out, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

This place!! Quite honestly the best chips and salsa I've ever had. The main meals were delish and the margaritas were on point (note, they're "party-style" made with a mixer rather than an upscale cocktail) and painfully cold. The service was prompt and friendly. Very close to the gay bars which made it even better. Loved this place!
