El Tiempo Cantina - Westheimer

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was good with several vegetarian options, but expensive. The parking is valet only. Service was average. There are some orange colored lights over several tables downstairs... Everything on the plate looks the same and none of it good under those lights! Upstairs is very nice. There are full bars up and downstairs.

I know why everyone local recommended this place, because it was so amazing!

The girls at my table were new to Texas and to Tex Mex. El tiempo came through clutch , and provided one of the girls with the “best margarita ever” in her life.

The meats were so savory, and our vegetarian was even in heaven.

Tortillas fresh, drinks icy, and service commendable. I will be back soon!

I went on the weekend, they had complementary valet. They also gave us some little Mexican pastries. The food I ordered was good. I felt like the plate portions were good. They give you chips and 3 salsas and they were very good. I also had the coconut margarita and it was good aswell. If you like sweet margaritas you would like it too.

I always get the steak fajitas, and they ruin any other fajitas I've ever had. Extremely delicious food, great service, and a fun ambience. Not priced for a daily visit, but it's one of our favorite spots for a special occasion. Well worth your time in checking it out.

It was a nice place to be with friends or family, the food was good and has healthy choices! The only thing was that when it was busy on Friday night, the parking was full. But that's okay I just parked a street down from the restaurant and walked over. They do advise not to park on Avalon, otherwise you get you car towed!
