After getting two emphatic recommendations for this place, my partner and I had to check it out, and we are so glad we did! The food was superb, and the portion for the price was very generous. We'll definitely be back to explore the menu further!

The ambience here is amazing. Their funghi pasta is delicious! The alessa pizza was okay, it was a bit dry and cold. I would definitely come back for the pasta.

Enjoyed an incredible meal with the fam last night at one of our favorites, Paulie's Restaurant off Westheimer. Drinks were limited following the ice storm (as expected), but that was no problem for us. Meals came out perfectly and were worth the wait.

Highlight of the experience? Well, they are a counter service restaurant, so you walk up to get your food after ordering when your buzzer alerts. We all watched a beautiful elderly couple maneuvering themselves to a table after ordering with a walker, etc. The wife was doting on her husband, filling his glass of water at the beverage station, etc. The manager never even buzzed them....he graciously carried their food out to their table when it was ready. She looked up so surprised and touched...and that was one simple act of kindness during this crazy week that deserves a shout out.

I thanked him on our way out for doing that for them and we can't wait to return. Excellent food and service!

super cute place! staff is super friendly. it’s a bit pricey but good portions and even better tasting food. adding some red pepper, salt & pepper helped with some extra flavor on my pasta. the carrot cake was great as well as my salad.

One of my top places for Italian food. prices were fair.
