Velvet Taco

3/9/21--Love this place! Been open approximately 9 weeks. I love it! it's just different!! their tacos are great and totally different than normal tacos! great menu! they have margaritas, outdoor seating, high chairs, great unique music. Jacob the cashier is great! very helpful, very informative since it was our first time here . he knew his menu. we will be back! it's great for any age, but perfect for the middle age class, if you want to go out on a Friday night and have a taco and a margarita and a few drinks! This is the place! there's a great view of North Shepherd sitting on a bar stool looking out the window. Way to go Velvet Taco!!

I LOVE what this place represents. A mixture of the Houston/Global culture through tacos. These guys push the boundaries of the standard taco to the next level over other reputable places. Their flavors and seasonings added as well as consistency are what makes this place unique. I went 3 days in a row to try a mix of taco's. None of them disappointed with texture, appearance, flavor, smell and most importantly quality each time. Thank you Velvet for each experience! Long live the Velvet Taco‼️

Excellent customer service. Jacob was working the drive thru and super helpful. I was a bit confused and he took my order and got me served quickly. The food was great and they gave me a complimentary cake! Thanks Jacob!

Velvet Taco blew my mind when I found them last year. I normally go to the Washington Location but when I saw this location was coming soon AND that they have a drive thru, I just knew I had to try them. They didn't disappoint. The staff are friendly, the place super clean, and they put me on to secret menu items I didn't even know about (Ask them about the Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles). The ranch water was spot on. With this location being super close to my house, I will definitely end up being a regular.

Delicious, as always!!! On my most recent visit, I enjoyed the Spicy Tikka Chicken and the Slow-Roasted Angus Brisket. Both were perfection. Because of their quality, array of choices, and convenient ordering options, Velvet Taco is a wonderful addition to The Heights. The food is great, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the service is quick and easy. All around win!
