My wife and I were driving from Houston back to Austin and were craving Indian food. We arrived at 5:30pm when they opened and ordered a few of entrees to share. The restaurant is very neat/tidy with good atmosphere.
The menu is a little peculiar in that there were no samplers of the various entree options (thus, requiring us to buy 3-4 full portion meals to share, but at least we ended up with great leftovers). The food service was a little slow, but we soon learned why: everything is made-to-order.
The food quality was excellent and we would definitely eat there again. This is not a fast food restaurant, so you must have some patience -- but you will be rewarded with a good meal.
Service was very bad, there were only 2 servers with packed restaurant. I had to wait a long time before I received mh food and each time i needed to order i had to wait for a serve to pass by, or i had to get up and go to them to let them know what I needed. Service could improve. I ordered gobi manchurian, malia kofta, garlic naan and samosa chat and gulab jambum gosla. I would not recommend ordering samosa chat, and malae kofta, it was horrible. Garlic naan and manchurian was good.
I was craving goat biryani, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. I also decided to try the mango lassi, definitely recommend. Staff was courteous. My food came out hot and delicious. I will be back to try the cauliflower chef 65!
Understaffed. Food was ok. The peshwari naan was the best thing we had. the paan alcoholic drink was good also. The chicken 65 and goat balls were ok. So overall, lots of menu choices and minus is the relatively slow service.
Love the ambience of this restaurant. Their food tasted authentic. Their Peshawari Naan and Malai Kofta combination was amazing! This is one of the few Indian restaurants in town, that have a full bar setup. I ordered a desi beer that has a brewery in Dallas, The Arka Beer. It is a lager beer and I loved it. Reminded me so much of kingfisher beer.
We went on a day just before the freeze, so I guess they were a little understaffed. We had to wait for a long time before we could even place an order. But they offered their apologies for the delay and asked if there was anything they could do. This was a very nice gesture from them. We ended up ordering some more drinks!
