“Really, really good donuts. Smiling and friendly faces working at the counter. I'm shocked this donut shop doesn't generate more buzz because the donuts are excellent. Homemade honey buns, cake donuts, old fashioned & sour cream donuts, fritters, you name it. Definitely somewhere I will return again.”

“This place is definitely much appreciated in the area. My son really wanted a cookies and cream milkshake, but they were out. They were able to come up with an alternative for him that tastes very similar, but according to my very picky son, it tasted even BETTER than a normal cookies and cream milkshake AND it was blue!! The kolaches with cheest are thick and delicious (our favorite place to purchase kolaches in the area). I normally get their Vietnamese iced coffee (not pictured) , and BOY does it pack a punch! It definitely gets me through my long work days. Their prices are very reasonable. And they have a bunch of snack options. Their drive through is very convenient as well!”

“I loved this place ever since I was a kid! I still have fond moments of my parents taking me here and getting me the blueberry donuts before they would take me to daycare. Years lately, I still come back to this place because they have the best donuts, especially their donut holes, I have ever had. The donut holes when you get them fresh are nice and doughy and are such a delicious treat! Their icing isn’t too much where the donut feels too sugary, but it isn’t too little where it feels like you’re eating more dough than actual donut. Then the prices are very fair, as a student still in school, price is very important to me, but with a place like Donut Haven, I don’t have to worry about prices! All in all, I’d say 5 stars, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious donuts!”

“This place is your one stop shop. They not only do baked goods but they do hot foods as well. They catered 2 different events for me. On both occasions the food and desserts were amazing. My guests are still raving about how amazing the food and desserts were. The prices are very reasonable.”

“I loved the vibe here! It's a super cute chill spot. I got a salad which I didn't photograph but it was an okay salad, nothing special at all. I added chicken to my salad and I have to say I was very disappointed in the chicken, it smelled like fish and it had an awful taste to it. The DRINKS on the other hand are really TASTY and FLAVORFUL!! My friend got the avocado toast and she LOVED it. I want to go back and try the other items they have on the menu that caught my eye.”

“If there is 10 stars, I will pick that. I am not Vietnamese but everything in the menu never disappoint me. My new addiction is the Chicken Feet Thai Salad. “I love Southern Maid Donuts since Hurricane Ike. It serves best donut in Chinatown. The donuts kept fresh even hours after I bought them, unlike another donut chain Shipley 400 feet away. These delicious and fresh donuts make my family happy. Oh, they have kolaches, too! Be an early bird, they close at 1 pm.”

“Love them!! They are fresh and yummy soft donuts! I’ve heard the apple fritters are the best but they sell fast! So I sadly didn’t get one this time but tried a few of the other ones Suoy makes and they are so good! Definitely will be coming back and recommend to others!”

“Ordered online. Order was ready when I got there. Person working even offered to warm up my breakfast sandwich. The kolaches and donuts here are spectacular. You will not be disappointed. What's good/great to order, you ask? At this point it's a question of what isn't great. And so far it's been nothing. Every thing has exceeded my expectations.”

“What an amazing find! There is a great variety of fresh baked items and we have sampled several...everything is delicious! I recommend the bagel and lox, any of the kolaches and the cheese bread - incredibly delicious. We were looking for a local bakery and this fits the bill perfectly. The owners are so friendly and they give great recommendations. They truly want each customer to have a wonderful experience. This is now our Sunday spot!”

“They did an amazing job with my son’s Batman Cupcakes. My husband called the after before the party and they made it happen. They even bought him some Batman action figures which was a huge hit. The cupcakes were not only beautiful they were DELICIOUS!! No more dry cupcakes from H-E-B for us. These were SO good. 10/10 would recommend. Awesome shop and great family business.”

“Went here today before doing grocery shopping. The food was decent, with large portions. We each had green onion pancakes and dumplings. I also had the beef noodle, although I missed the oil noodles on the menu. The noodles were tasty, although I would have liked more beef in the bowl. Complaints are, the service was slow although it was mid-day, and the server sent my wife's dumplings to the wrong table, so we had to wait extra time for hers. Hence their losing one star on my review. Other then that, we enjoyed our lunch. One last note. You place and pay for your order at the counter and then they bring it out when it's ready. The server does NOT take your order. Almost like a McDonald's. But not quite. Next time I'll give the oil noodles a shot.”

“Our new favorite coffee shop/cafe in Houston. We got a Lavender/Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk and an extra shot of espresso, and it has changed our lives. Went two days in a row for this deliciousness. You must try the Brussels sprouts, white mushroom truffle mac and cheese, and the Lox tartine! You can thank me later. Worth seriously checking out.”

“Went here to meet up with a mate of mine to catch up. Counter staff were super friendly and helpful with getting a beverage selected, as well as a light bite. I got the vegan taco tray with the habanero sauce. Nothing mind blowing, but a solid trio of black bean tacos with potatoes, the cold brew was rich with a hint of a fruity character. We sat outside and that was a super chill, roomy area. They even have a speaker that is just the right volume to not disturb conversation, but you will definitely hear when your order is up. I would surely visit again.”

“Hidden Treasure! We had six different people order six different things and not a single item was anything less than great! You cannot order bad food from here. Our service was great! We will be back. The only downside is that they have no interior space. I hope they move to a location with seating. I'd be there even more often.”

“Have been receiving nothing but positive reviews for the cake I picked up yesterday. We barely cut into it today and the bread is still moist and tastes really fresh. Overall presentation and cake is really good. Highly recommend.”
