“New Arby's where the old Carl's Jr. used to be, rest in peace.. But this Arby's doesn't have that worn-out feel most other ones have got. A nice job was done in making the place look nice, and they keep it rather clean too. Food is Arby's, so you know.. but as far as most Arby's go. This is probably the only one I'd stop by simply for the cleanliness and friendly staff.”

“This location seems to have an issue with exterior lighting and service that listens to the customers request. Being a normal stop for a fast food location in which we knew the location was there. All exterior lights were off. The employees didn't care when they were told about this. They just laughed and smiled. Next, for service I know to expect less than fair depending on the time of day. If a customer requests something freshly made and they are told you will get it how it comes is not the best response. This was 2 strikes right off the top. Fortunately, I know this location is normally good during the day. The food was as is and normal for being under the heat lamp. The location is easy to access off 35 and is a clean location. Unfortunately, if you need a quick bite to eat I would have to recommend any of their other locations around them during the PM hours. You will not see it from the highway with lights off, yet open. Also, the service was less then acceptable.”

“I want to like this place, I’m all for sourcing local and better quality ingredients and wrapping it up in a fast food package. I’ve given it 3 tries, twice ordering the “grain” burger and once with the little hat burger. Sometimes I’m on the road and want a fast meatless option, but honestly the grain burger just tastes like a grilled mush patty, no flavor at all. I could say the same about the beef patty, I like that it is better quality meat, but it tastes completely unseasoned. The fries, leave something to be desired. Hat creek heavily relies on extra salt to give the fries some flavor but they just don’t taste great. I should also mention that the price is a little outrageous. Over $11 for a grain burger and fries, no drink. Take a page out of P-Terry’s book, I can get a more satisfying similar meal there for around $8 3 stars to Hat Creek for trying. Maybe you’ll get it right at some point, but seeing as this is a chain, I wouldn’t hold my breath on fast improvement. “Grain/mush” patty pictured below.”

This day we chose take out as we were short on time and running errands in town. I have a few favorites however the orange chicken is always a great choice. “Overall, we left with an okay impression of Perk Up. The coffee (we had the light roast drip coffee) was really good. The food was pretty good. My biggest complaint was the amount of food for the price is minimal. The egg white & avocado on toast was $8.05 and I was still hungry after I finished. The staff was also unfriendly and a bit snarky when we started asking questions about the menu. They were also pouring themselves coffee & drinking it in front of us as we ordered. As I said, not a bad experience but definitely could've been better.”

“This was my second visit and it was a much better experience than the first one. I met a few friends there and we were able to have great conversation. Service was better and faster. The food was much better. The atmosphere is a little cold with harsh lighting. But it is now a little more family friendly and not so focused on being a bar. Indoor seating is a little cramped but manageable. Multiple TV screens let me keep up with just about anything I was interested in. Music volume was just right. Overall a good visit.”
