Taco Ole - Sharyland

Address: 2020 US-83 BUS, Mission, TX 78572, USA

Restaurant

“A friend and I went to Taco Ole for Lunch. Located on the South side of Old 83, two blocks east of Glasscock. I noticed a buffet option was available once I was seated. I wasn't all you can eat hungry so I chose to order from the menu. I already knew what I wanted without looking at the menu. My friend ordered a fajita Taco only, I ordered crispy beef tacos. We both ordered unsweet tea with lemon. Some of the best tea and served in a jumbo glass. I also ordered for later a "Tejano Plate" basically 2 Fajita Tacos with fries, to go for my son at home. My food arrived first, I asked my friend if he didn't mind me digging in, he was cool with it. My crispy tacos weren't crispy but rather they were chewy from not being fried long enough. The ground beef I could tell had already been in the kitchen steam table for some time. I was disappointed with the old looking tomatoes. Also, I would have liked more shredded cheese instead of the few strands of soft American cheese that was used. The refried beans were pretty good and the rice was done perfectly. My friends Fajitas were tender but a little dry. Service was great and an overall good experience. Will I be going back, sure, but probably for breakfast.”

Le'Chez Bleu Bistro

Address: 2800 S Bentsen Palm Dr, Mission, TX 78572, USA

Restaurant

“The Australian tea and the Southwest wraps are my go-to food and drink, but everything is delicious. Weekend brisket is very tender. Special dietary restrictions can be made to existing menu options. Just ask! Service is unmatched. This is a family owned and operated business in partnership with Bentsen-RGV State Park. The atmosphere is excellent with hummingbird feeders right by the windows and outdoor seating. The turkeys come right up to the windows! This is a must visit bistro especially for a day at the park.”

Address: 302 W Griffin Pkwy unit a, Mission, TX 78572, USA

Restaurant

“They say you can tell the authenticity of. Mexican restaurant by the taste of their charro beans and their Mexican (not Spanish) rice. Well, the cuisine served at Carmelita’s is as authentic as it gets! Taking after their father’s Edinburg location, this daughter knows what she is doing! The fideo principio was excellent. The fajitas were perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. Did I mention the rice and beans!?! The flour tortillas are not homemade, but overall you really don’t notice because of the flavor of the food. Definitely worth visiting!👏👏👏”

“I recommend this tamales since they are quick and easy to buy. I have notice a slight change in flavor might be due to ingredients changing but it’s still a good tamale. If you are willing to try Delia’s I would recommend chicken and cheese or bean and cheese with the green salsa. Just be ready to experience the good flavors.”

“One of my favorite snack stands in Mission! The prices are very affordable and the raspas and churros are very delicious. We ordered Piña Colada, Cherry, and Rainbow ($2.50 each, size M) and churros with dip La Lechera ($3.50) and there's other dips like Hershey's chocolate and caramel. Theres also single churros or ice cream float with churros. They have many flavors of raspas, some are milk, others with no sugar. I highly recommend for you to come by one day and try this place. You can also park at the side of the stand to enjoy your snack.”

“The lady is extremely friendly. Flavors are bold and distinct. The shaved ice is so delicate its like frozen cotton. Plus they have sugar free flavors! One bite of the raspa and it hurls me back to my childhood when my cousins gathered in the front yard to play colors. It reminded me there is still good in this world. Where sometimes your worries melt away in a frozen cup of sunshine.”

Casa Del Taco

Address: 1800 US-83 BUS, Mission, TX 78572, USA

Restaurant

“The environment is very spacious and colorful. The decor is amazing to admire. The servers started off kind of rude, but changed their attitude as the night progressed. The food was good but needed seasoning. It was my second time coming here since they renovated and I prefer the carne asada botana plate for a party meal than individual meals. That's my honest opinion and hope to see improvement if I come back.”

Ace's BBQ

Address: 2536 E Griffin Pkwy, Mission, TX 78572, USA

Restaurant

“I went by Aces BBQ with my wife for lunch. It's located on 495 between Taylor Rd. and Shary Rd. In Mission. Aces has been around for ten years and they know how to do BBQ. I've eaten here before and have never been disappointed, but today I wanted to try something different. When you walk in you head to the counter and place your order and the cashier brings you your order. Aces has signs advertising farm raised Catfish and I was feeling it, so I ordered it. My wife ordered the brisket tacos. My plate came with fries, Cole slaw, and house made tarter sauce. The fish was lightly breaded in corn meal and deliciously crispy. My wife's tacos came with lots of brisket, rice, pinto beans, and home made salsa. She really enjoyed them. I noticed the dessert cabinet when we ordered our lunch and the brownies looked really good, so when we finished our meals we shared one with ice cream. The brownies were not chewy but moist and had walnuts for a nice texture touch. I could have eaten another one, it was so good. The portions at Aces are generous so you definitely get your money's worth and you will leave satisfied.”
