“Kauri is on fire!!! Even before getting in, you can smell the broccoli, chicken, and the noodles, just what you need to build up the appetite before you get in. Once you’re in there, greeted by the staff, the receptionist takes care of you right away, then taken to a table where they ask you what your beverage of choice is and then, you’re off to get your plate and on the Buffay line. My taste buds were in heaven waiting to pick up my first piece of sushi. From the pics and videos I posted, you can call it sushi heaven. A little bit of everything for different pallets. I have to admit, I serve myself a couple of pieces of sushi from all the selections. I had to get a second plate because just beyond where all the sushi was, that’s where you had your eggrolls, your fried chicken, your soups, your noodles, your fried rice, your teriyaki chicken, beef and broccoli, and your salads. The teriyaki chicken was super savory, soft to the tongue, and went down the throat like butter. The egg rolls and fried chicken were crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. The beef and broccoli was super fulfilling, not too saucy and the broccoli, steamed to perfection. You definitely got to go and check this place out, don’t rush your time there, eat as much of whatever you want for as long as you want, and make it a great experience as I did. “I was craving some tasty brunch and decided to finally give this place a try. As with most restaurants, the mimosas were pretty straightforward. You can't do brunch with a mimosa so do order one. I was offered other flavors besides orange. I decided to stick to regular orange. The Avocado Chilaquiles were so good! I was surprised they came with chicken since the menu did not list it as such. It was a pleasant surprise! The sides were okay. I couldn't resist trying the Banana Foster pancakes. They were a generous serving of 4 fluffy pancakes that hit the spot. Make sure to be ready to wait a bit if you go on a Sunday for brunch. Service was very slow in the beginning but it was incredibly busy.”

“There is so much so say about this location. The decoration is amazing. You can tell they took the time into each piece. Everything has its own place. The buffet table is in the perfect Area. Right in the middle and easy access for everyone. The place is clean and inviting. They had impeccable service and you can tell that everyone is here to please their guests. The waitresses and cooks would come to our tables and even would check the buffet to make sure everything was warm and filled. The food was great! I’m happy with the flavors and everything was made just right. They even made flautas freshly made and offered us some. They gave us fresh avocado and the salsas were so good! The food was warm and the soups were so delicious. They had a dessert area which had really good fruit and even salad. We will be coming again with the whole family. I’m glad this place opened close to home.”

“The good: The food is freshly prepared when you ordered it and the soups are delicious and warm. When you dine in the food is perfect to eat once it cools a little as it comes straight from the kitchen. It was great, so great we came a second time for take out. [All images are from this first visit except the burnt pot sticker image.] The bad: Take out was not the way to go. They were out of drinks except for diet coke. The eggroll is placed inside of the steaming hot food container, so by the time it was opened, after a 5-7 minute drive, the eggroll was completely soggy. The noodles had become sticky and were stuck to each other in a rather unappetizing ball. One of the 8 pot stickers was burnt. I know just 1, but I paid for 8 edible pot stickers. The restaurant wouldn't throw in 9, so I expect 8 edible pot stickers. More bad: This is also the 2nd time I've ordered at Papa Lee's and the 2nd time they've gotten the soup order wrong. It is correct on the receipt, so it's not a front of house problem. It's the back that delivers the order incorrectly. The first time it was quickly dealt with because we ate in. The 2nd time I was already home. Over all, the first impression was really great. The portions were impressive and the food was hot and fresh. I was also really hungry. The 2nd time gave me a good opportunity to see this location for take out and really rate them. It's okay. Nothing I'd rave about, and also not something I'd go out of my way to eat. We probably won't be coming back unless we're really hungry and this is the only place open [and Whataburger on the other side of the parking lot is full].”

“This restaurant was inside HEB. The lady spoke Spanish and was a little hard to communicate with her. Thankfully a young woman came by and translated. The $5.59 quesadilla come with a can of pop. You get 2 Quesadillas and you pick out the meat. The food was awesome and so reasonable. We definitely will eat here again.”
