The gorditas of red chicharrones are extremely spicy, on the end of inedible if you aren't used to spice, but delicious nonetheless. Great location for authentic Mexican food..”

“I always visit a Taco Palenque when visiting family in the RGV. This location was great! They had the plenty of chips. Their salsa bar was stocked with a variety of salsas with the green avocado salsa being my favorite as usual. They had grilled jalapeños with onions, pickled onions, pickled sliced jalapeños, radishes, chopped fresh jalapeños, lemons, & limes. They have some of the best jamaica and horchata around. Their guacamole is always fresh, the corn tortillas were so fresh and tasted great. They have great fajitas and enchiladas too! The staff are always friendly, it doesn't matter what location I visit, the staff are all friendly.”

“Exceptional Mexican food. For starters, we were served warm chips with a freshly made salsa and queso dip. The margarita sampler was fantastic as was the veggie soup served before the entree. I ordered the Taco Quesadilla and it was wonderful and such a huge serving that I took 2/3 of it home. My husband proclaimed that he's ordering it next time. We will definitely be back. Very nice family atmosphere.”
