Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Food at this visit was not quite worth the price.
We ordered a chicken sandwich meal and a double burger meal. The chicken sandwich was not worth $8 because it was just chicken and pickles on a roll with nothing else. The burger was flavorless and the patties were very thin so the double was the equivalent of a standard single patty. The lettuce and tomato seemed fresh. The fries were thin cut and while they were fried well with a nice crisp texture, they still had some body. The fry sauce was very weak to Texan spice standards - The jalapeno fry sauce included in the bag was not any more spicy than the standard Whataburger ketchup. We upgraded the drinks to shakes and had a choice of small or large. We chose the small. It was a $2 upgrade that produced a very tiny 9-10oz shake. The flavor was excellent, but not worth $2 for as small as it was.
Overall, I feel like the possible quality could be improved given that it's a brand new restaurant, so I will give them another shot in the future, but as of right now, I don't feel that the quality of the food was worth the cost.

Today was the second time we've been. The first time, we used the drive thru and everything came out just as we ordered and their staff were very friendly. Even though there was a long wait, it was understandable as it was only their second week open. Today we went into the dining room, and everything was wonderful. The staff inside were super friendly. Everything was nice and clean. Our food was how we ordered and it was delicious. It was a little cold in the dining area, but that's alright, we lived.

I loved it here. I decided to try Freddy’s on my lunch break. The cashier over the speaker in the drive thru was extremely nice and didn’t get annoyed despite me asking questions and taking a while to order. Though there were tons of people in line my food was given to me fast and fresh. Where Freddy’s really takes the cake is the delicious concrete brownie delight I got, man that thing is good. The name of the cashier on my receipt is Autumn V! She even wrote me a sweet note on my receipt. For real Freddy’s needs to give her a raise. And her boss needs to buy her lunch!

The patties were a little salty. I got the California burger and the bottom bun was soggy. We ordered a Diet Dr. Pepper, 2 Dr. Peppers, and Pepsi. We received Diet Root Beer, Diet Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, and a Dr Pepper. We ordered 3 Double Bacon Cheeseburgers. One of the Double Bacon Cheeseburger was suppose to be minus the pickle, and minus the cheese. It had the cheese on it and no lettuce or tomato. The mustard was over powering.

It's a decent place to eat. The burgers have thin patties and are good. The fries are shoestring fries, super thing fries, and are also good. The shakes are where Freddy's shines, they're definitely some of the best shakes you can get. The chocolate, however, tasted fairly dark and wasn't to my liking.
We went here on the opening week, but the service was quick and friendly. The prices are were it falls short. These are In n out portions at double if not triple the costs. Definitely not a cheaper place to eat.
