“We've stayed here both last year and this year. The new owners have done amazing things to elevate this historical place and carry it into its new chapter. The design is very high end and the cuisine is better than fine dining. Chef has truly poured himself into the new menu and presented some of the most dynamic and reinvented dishes. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed most of the breakfast menu as well as one evening of dinner and EVERY dish was astounding! Chef truly understands the complexities of dynamic contrast when it comes to textures, flavors and presentation. We can't wait to return and experience even more. “Consistently good food. Request the Martin's sauce for free. It's great. Avacado sauce is really good, a little salty but good. And the crazy fajitas have been good the last 3 times I have went. We go back time and time again for this good grub. Service was a BIT off, but that was just a one time thing. I think the waiter was a bit new. Keep it up Martin's! 😋”

“Food ok Expected more fish options Since the name states (Fish Tales) Only had 1 girl working the whole front by her self and was busy literally waiting like 7 tables and the bar setup area. They need to hire more good help cause she was moving none stop and held her professionalism as a waiter , server , cashier , receptionist, greeted us and still had a positive attitude with a smile . I can't recall her name but she deserved a position promotion as a trainer for the new waiters and a raise”

“Last time I visited here they were still in the old building! That's been awhile!! The new place (to me anyway) is still very good! The waitress was very outgoing and friendly, and got us seated right away. It wasn't very crowded at all and it was a little after 6pm. They have a very good menu, but my wife and I opted for the buffet. Our little one who is six chose to get a cheese burger off of the menu with fries. He really loved it and said it was very good. The buffet had fried catfish, chicken fried steak, beef stew, kernel corn, greens, fried mushrooms, sweet potatoes, green beans, and dinner rolls. The other side of the buffet was a salad bar and my wife said it was very good with many items to choose from for your salad. They also had a variety of dessert items on the buffet, pies, and cakes. We had a very good experience and will be going back”

“Well it did not start good but they rebounded fantastic. I did not get all my order at the drive thru so I call and the the very nice youg lady manager told me to come back at my convenience and she would take care of what I had us what I did not get. I went the next night and they were extremely cordial and polite no questions ask. The food was very good. Best chicken in Jasper Texas.”
