The food was cooked with care and not any of it seemed to be processed like other fast food restaurants, they served home cooked meals. The selection was good, the food tasted great, and overall I'm happy with my visit. I liked the vibe of a small business and an older 1980's vibe all around. Good job!”

“Woody's is not just a restaurant, but if you go there just to eat you won't be disappointed. I had the ribs, which were perfectly cooked. They know how to let the smoke and meaty flavor speak for itself. But we also browsed their desserts and breads, and took some turnovers and chocolate toffee for the road. Clean and comfy, with VERY helpful and friendly staff. A little something for everyone, as long as everyone digs meat and sweets. We really enjoyed it as a break on a long road trip.”

“We stopped by this subway location on our way to the cruise ship terminal in Galveston. we were feeling pretty hungry, so we stopped by to get some food. great service, what you would expect, and I liked it a lot. some subways don't have my usual favorite meatball marinara sub, and I was glad that this location in the middle of nowhere had that. If I ever pass by Centerville ever again, I will choose this place.”

“I've been going to Country Cousins for over 30 years. The food is always good, and I'm always greeted with a smile and usually a hug. They now have a full blown restaurant, and you won't regret stopping by. The inside is decorated with items from Leon Country, paying respect to the history. (Rusty even has the old CAFE sign from Grandpa's Cafe!) Back to the food - The meat is tender and flavorful. But now they've got stuffed baked potatoes that *SHOULD* be enough for 2 meals. (I really need to work on my self control,) And they even have fried fish! Country Cousins is a throwback to great good, great service, and a family atmosphere that you just can't find anymore. It's the place to go where everyone really does know your name.”

The gentleman behind the meat counter was super nice and was the first to greet us through the door. He was also the main reason we ended up with some jerky and sausage. “The BEST steak this side of the Mississippi. To ensure you get in, arrive early. There will be a line. First 150 people or so get in. Others have to wait until a table clears. There are limited number of steaks each night, so if you arrive late, you won't be allowed in. Also, while you're there, buy their meat rub. It's delicious for home cooked meals. If you're feeling adventurous, you can visit the ice cream parlor next door and have yourself an ice cream cone. I personally recommend the strawberry, double scoop, on a waffle cone. Enjoy.”
