Good bbq and fantastic fudge that didnt cost a arm and leg to purchase, also had a pretty good range of kinds of fudge available with a special of buy 4 get 2 free which we took advantage of each day we were in the area...

Woody's is not just a restaurant, but if you go there just to eat you won't be disappointed. I had the ribs, which were perfectly cooked. They know how to let the smoke and meaty flavor speak for itself. But we also browsed their desserts and breads, and took some turnovers and chocolate toffee for the road. Clean and comfy, with VERY helpful and friendly staff. A little something for everyone, as long as everyone digs meat and sweets. We really enjoyed it as a break on a long road trip.

The BEST BBQ secret south of the DFW area... stopped for gas, caught a drift of a smoke stack, and had to stop for eats. We've made special trips just for the amazing BBQ, beans and the yummy jalapenos are to die for! The made from scratch sausage links, a MUST have... they freeze well and taste so GOOD! The service is awesome, the canned goods are delightful and make for amazing gifts... DO NOT PASS... Without stopping for dine in or take out. Desserts at the door! Bathrooms are clean and fresh smelly... the gas will get you to your next destination! I loved reading the Armed Forces Troop support letters and donated yum yums sent to our distant service members... Woody's Smokehouse owners are TRUE TEXAS HEROES! Completely worth a stop if you're driving through. BBQ was delicious, and there are a ton of sweets on the way out if you need 'em. Got Brisket and Ribs, both were perfectly cooked.
