“First time going there and let me say I was blown away by the food, the staff that was working were very nice and friendly, the environment was welcoming, everything was fresh and hot, I got the fried catfish and it was probably the best I’ve tasted so far living in midland, the sides I recommend are the trio of greens, fried cabbage and the candied yams, I’m definitely going again sometime next week to try out more of the items they have. Before and after pics to show how good everything I got was. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to eat great food.”

“The two times I've been here have been at the top of my eating experiences in the area! My first meal here was a brisket and potato burrito. Definitely the best brisket I've had in a couple of decades! It was incredibly tender with the most amazing flavor. My kids loved the burgers. My initial interest in this restaurant was someone's review that mentioned green chili soup. It's not on the menu at this time of year. I expressed my little sadness over that as I crave green chilies and Korean food when I'm pregnant. Mr. Brown generously offered to make a custom order for me and scheduled with me for which day I could pick it up! He also made it mild for me since I can't do spicy while pregnant. I bought this as my birthday present to myself and brought it to a friend to share with. She was just as blown away as I was. Each of the ingredients in the soup retained its own flavor while meshing well with the others (potatoes, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, meat, etc.). The meat in this was phenomenally tender as well. I find that most places try to flavor everything by over salting. Not in this case! The beautiful flavor was added to with whichever herbs/spices he put in the soup. Beyond the food, the customer service was incomparable... My kids even keep commenting about how they nice Mr. Brown is. I've missed having great food here. I told him it helped to make Midland feel more like home. Give it a try!”

“Every experience I have had here has been great. The owners/staff have always been courteous and friendly to me and my children even when I show up right when they are about to close. The selection is great. You won't get better Koloches anywhere and their doughnuts are delicious. This will always be me and my childrens go to place. I will always appreciate their kindness. “I was kinda disappointed. The chicken wings weren't that good, as the breading was not true to classic Korean fried chicken. The ramen was kinda bland, and the tofu soup was just not as flavorful as I was expecting for the price. The vibe is good and the scenery is pretty unique. I don't know if I'd go back since it wasn't quite worth the price I paid. It all looks good, just the flavor isn't really there.”

“Heard a lot of good things about this location since it reopened and it is definitely worth all the hype. All of the sushi was extremely fresh and fairly priced for the area. Rice for the sushi and rolls was cooked perfectly. Their hot foods were great too, I kept looking around at other diners plates because everything that was coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. It is a small dining space, and they can be busy during lunch time, but definitely worth the wait 😋 look forward to coming back and trying more”

The one complain I'd have is that the wings themselves were a bit small, especially for price paid. I would still go back, but I wouldn't make a habit of it. “Probably one of the most interesting atmospheres I've had in a restaurant that didn't cost me my first born child. The area is laced with relaxing music and a friendly atmosphere, the staff are at the ready to assist and love to get to know their customers. The food was great, some of the best sushi I've had, reminded me of my favorite place for sushi back home. I will be frequenting this place in the future. The two rolls I got were the Fuji roll and Firecracker (left to right). Great selections just to test the waters of this joint, keep in mind however, the firecracker has a kick to it. Those who appose spice should stay away! But for the rest I will definitely recommend it.”
