The Chipper

This is your authentic fish and chips shop! My very British husband really really enjoyed it. The curry sauce was just right and the batter on the fish was super legit! Plus the whole little area is so charming. We sat outside and my brother grabbed some beers from next door. Utterly charming!

While I can't eat the fish as I can't have gluten, the fries are delicious and my husband assures me so is the fish. It's a bright, airy room and I like the Union Flag design on the ceiling. I've heard other people say the staff are a little brusque but they've always been friendly to us.

Great meal. I had the haddock and my husband had the cod. We shared as we always do and both were delicious. The chips were super tasty and nothing was overly salty (this is a constant problem for me when eating out, salt is on the table if you want more). The quality of the food is worth the price, but is enough that it will be more of a monthly or bi-monthly visit. My husband did not like that they charged extra for tartar sauce, but I didn’t care because I don’t eat that anyway. Small but very clean. Maybe with more volume they could get the food cost down. Takeout?

By far the best Fish n Chips in Texas. I come here at least once a week since this opened in July 2018. Fish is perfect every time. Simply Fantastic. Try it and find out for yourself!

A proper British Chippie run by actual Brits in the Culinary Courtyard on Tamina in Magnolia. A short wait as everything is cooked to order. Nice outdoor seating available. Absolutely delicious from the fish to the chips. Nice and clean hip interior. Simple... Done right.
