“Went in for some menudo and it was good. Could use a bit more seasoning but didn't stop me from eating it all. Limited menu on the tacos but those Carne Guisada tacos were really good. The ladies were very friendly. Place is nice and very clean. Definitely will head back again”

“Many reviewers call this a buffet. IT IS NOT A BUFFET, IT'S FAMILY STYLE! When you enter you will be directed to a table based on the size of your party. The tables are long and seat up to 10 people so you may very well be seated with friends you've never met. The cold salads (cole slaw, pea salad, potato salad) are already on the table. The server will take your drink order and then the food begins to arrive. Their legacy item is fried chicken and it will be accompanied by a beef dish such as meatloaf, brisket, pot roast, etc. You will also have 12-13 sides from which to choose. All food arrives at the table in serving dishes that are passed between diners. The servers will gladly refill any item that runs low. While the corn and green beans are canned, all other sides are prepared fresh. It's like eating at grandma's. Best fried chicken. Ever. 8/29/2021 menu: Fried chicken, Brisket, Potato salad, Cole slaw, Pea salad, Boiled potatoes, Macaroni and cheese, Squash, Boiled okra, Fried okra Green beans, Corn, Turnip greens, Cabbage, Pinto beans, Sweet potatoes, Rolls, Peach cobbler. Some may be put-off having to eat with strangers, but I disagree. Eating family style is an important part of the experience and you are unlikely to to find this opportunity elsewhere.”

“My family was coming into Sweetwater came here to stretch our legs and grab a bite to eat. Unfortunately at the time of our dining their coke machine was out of order, but overall the food was good and our service was amazing. We would come back if we stopped in again”

“A small, quaint little family owned spot that offers fantastic food, it's that simple. I met the family, talked food for about 20 min, shared some laughs and some great habanero salsa. The added treat of the day cor me was buying their Saturday special tamales which were the best I've had in over a decade.”

“This was a nice place to relax! Great music and exceptional service! Claire was so sweet and helpful! The only reason I’m giving this 4 instead of 5 is that they have no high chairs. As a mom who goes out alone with her babies, it’s a bigger necessity than I realized! I will definitely be returning!!”

“Food was very tasty, barbecue was also on point. Very busy place probably due to how popular they are. The wait staff seemed pretty busy and it wasn't clear who our server really was, drinks ran dry and had to wait awhile for refills. The salads were also delicious and the steaks were fantastic! For the amount of money you spend I would figure better service would be in order. However, would definitely recommend this place for the best barbecue in the area, well food overall actually!!”

“Not a bad burger. No complaints on price or size of the burger. Patty could use a little seasoning. Would have given 4 stars just didn't care for the fried chips. Good service.”

“Friendly people, fast service and amazing pizza. This isn’t something you would over pay for at Pizza Hut or Dominoes, it tastes way better and is cheap. I paid under $13 for a very good pizza. I will definitely be back.”

“I got the 3 meat combo.... chicken has good flavor BUT it was dry.... Polish sausage is made differently than what Im used 2 + it was a little ontha salty side.... but I REALLY LIKED the smoked Turkey & it WASN'T too salty.... potato salad was nice.... I'm not a big sauce guy but I would say it's a little bit above average”

“We were staying at the La Quinta just up the road, and the front desk clerk suggested Skeet's Texas Grill. We went and couldn't have been more pleased. My wife had the chicken with vegetables and was very happy. Tender and tasty. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a garden salad. The chicken fried steak was some of the best I've ever had! It was well breaded and super tender. Great taste! And the salad was fresh and crisp and very good too. The hostess was a superwoman who memorized people by their faces and knew when to seat who! Even though the place was packed we were seated within 10 minutes and had our food within 10 minutes of ordering. Our server was great and the next time we are in Sweetwater, Texas we are stopping here for dinner!”

“We were visiting for an off-road race and this was the only restaurant within 25 miles that was open past 9:00pm. Noticed the high rating so we loaded up and drove out. That was the highlight of our trip. Service was excellent, atmosphere was stellar inside & out, but the hand cut ribeye was worth the drive from Dallas alone. We came back again the next night & even though they were packed with a band, we could not have enjoyed it more. If you ever find yourself anywhere close to this part of Texas, you don’t want to miss this gem.”
