“My wife send I visited here after my appointment with the VA clinic. This location is convenient to the highway and surprisingly easy to park in the handicap areas with my 1 ton pickup. The place is clean. The servers are fast, efficient and friendly. We ordered chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. The good was warm and comfortable. The store was surprisingly busy even at 1030 AM.”

“A friend of mine drove all over town trying to find bbq for me, because I was quarantined by the health dept, and after 10 days I finally had an appetite. She found the barbecue man was open! They totally hooked her up. I enjoyed every bit of it. And was happy to eat what I’d been craving. Brisket perfectly smoked. Sausage was just spicy enough, great potato salad, and banana pudding topped it all off. Shout out to the barbecue man staff! Thank you all! Definitely recommended!”

“I visited this place because they were going to cater an event I was working with. Went in for a meeting and decided to have lunch while I was there. I had the brisket and sausage lunch. Outstanding meat. Very moist, not too spicy, not too salty, not greasy. No heartburn afterwards. These are my criteria for good BBQ. It's on Leopard street, in an area where alot of other BBQ places are. It's a traditional place, not fancy, but clean and good service. The sauce was really good, but I really didn't need it. The meat was so moist you didn't want to disturb the moment. I will be going back on my next trip. Never had the meeting but I did have the meat. I also had the mac and cheese. Good stuff. I had no complaints on anything. It's a should visit when in Corpus.”

“Dairy Queen on Ayers St. in Corpus Christi has been situated at this location for a very long time. It went from a much dilapidated store that served all the favorites like the Hungerbuster, The Dude chicken fried sandwich, and the famous country steak fingers and chicken strips with creamy gravy. You can also find treats like vanilla ice cream cones dipped in chocolate, to the delicious banana splits. The store underwent extensive renovation a few years ago and now it's really nice.”

“The chicken bites are very good. They have ranch flavor on them and you also get dipping sauce to go with them. Of course, Church's chicken has always been one of my favorite places for fish during lent. It's very flaky and the batter is just right nothing if what I would expect coming from a chicken place. The sides are also delicious especially the fresh fries and jalapeno bombers. I just miss the jalepeno gravy they use to offer before.”
