“Had a cool dive bar vibe, but could have used a good deep clean. My husband said that the men's bathroom had poo everywhere and toilet wouldn't flush. This is a smoking establishment, luckily it was too crowded and not many smokers near us. Bar tender was friendly. Tap beer could have been colder but prices were reasonable, unlike a lot of other places that take advantage of non-locals. Haven't tried any food, maybe next trip.”

“In a town where businesses often struggle to find good help, Grumbles is one of just a handful of restaurants that is really well run. We loved everything about our visit in May of 2022. The view of the harbor is great. The place is very clean. The food and service are excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food came out very quickly, and the young bus staff promptly cleaned up tables when guests would finish their meals. The menu items are not exactly cheap, but they are similar to what you find at other good restaurants in Port A.”

Cons: Boil needed more seasoning. Portions are small for the price. No social distancing due to small space. “The food is delicious but the service all around is lacking which left our experience less than tasty. Especially during Corona 2020 when restaurants just opened. We felt less than welcome and they all acted like we were such a bother! The last straw is when they denied my 8 year old whipped cream for dessert because they didn’t want to make anymore yet they were serving whipped cream with their prepared dessert dishes. How hard can it be to make whipped cream? Plus, who would deny a child such a simple pleasure? This was only one of many little faux pas throughout the night. Fine Dining? I don’t think so.....”

“We are fans, even with all the Covid mess, we were seated right away, had a great seat with a beautiful view. Drinks were amazing, nothing typical here, these were hand crafted tasty gems. Food, their fresh scratch kitchen did not disappoint. Tell me the last time you ordered Jalapeno poppers (stuffed with crab by the way) and you were served fresh jalapenos stuffed with goodness, not those breaded things you normally see...been a.long time, right? The rest of the meal was followed suit and ended with a fantastic whiskey drizzled bread pudding and ice cream. We had the pleasure of having Amanda as our server, attentive, explained things, made sure we were happy. She is a gem. We will be back...a lot.”

Ex: the soup is going to take 15-20minutes to come out. Do you still want it, or would you like a different appetizer? Other than that food was the best I've ever had down there. “Great bar that does not disappoint. They are a full-service bar, not just a beer bar! Their happy hour (3p-6p) menu is on point, as are their mixed island-style drinks. They also have a restaurant with more than just appetizers. The food is never disappointing, extremely reasonable in pricing, and they don't skimp on their service. Bonus: They are family friendly, and don't allow nasty smoke. The outdoor area is nice and relaxing. All-around a great place to spend time hanging out with the family, or just for a night on the town on date night.”
