Lakeside Oasis

To be fair, this review is being submitted 1 week after opening, but you need to know what you are getting into.
First of all, you can’t beat the view. Sunsets are beautiful here. However, here’s our experience….
They currently only have 3 main dishes plus 1 Special on the menu. We place our order and waited 25 minutes just to receive our drinks. Our meal was delivered from 37 to 43 minutes after ordering. We had 6 people in our party. We ordered 2 smoked cheeseburgers, 1 bacon cheeseburger, 2 pulled pork sandwiches, and 1 smoked chicken half.
The burgers were all dry and well done. The bacon cheeseburger had 3 small pieces of bacon on it. The pulled pork was very fatty.
However, the smoked chicken was actually very tasty. The servers seemed very unorganized and didn’t seem to know which end was up.
Ultimately, this restaurant needs some more time to fine tune their service and menu. I’ll be back in a few months to see if they have improved.

I had the smoked chicken last night with fries and a side salad. It was great. I was very pleased that the chicken was moist and not dry as many smoked items can be. The staff was a pleasure and the food arrived quickly. Try the habanero cheese bites!

Best view of lake Livingston. Best burger in our area. Gourmet style and hand cut fries and handmade seasoned patties. My new favorite place!

The food was delicious, the service outstanding and loved the atmosphere on the water. The prices were very reasonable too! We will definitely be back.
