“We loved it here! The owner, Diana, is an amazing chef! I had the seafood stew which was basically a delicious etouffee over rice with perfectly cooked/seasoned green beans on the side. My partner enjoyed fried fish and French fries and I stole a few of the fries. It’s definitely a hang out and stay awhile/atmosphere- the food can take awhile because it’s a small operation (ours came out pretty quick though). We also enjoyed watching the sun go down over the beautiful pine trees. Anytime we are in the area again, we will be back!”

“We make a point to try a new place on birthdays. Today we ate out for my son's birthday and tried Big Fish for the first time. Absolutely love it! Very friendly, great food, and comfortable atmosphere. They even brought him a serving of ice cream with a candle and topped the jukebox for us to play some of the greats. New favorite for family nights out.”

“Extremely good little Mexican joint. It’s definitely one of those hidden gem places and if you didn’t know any better you would drive right past it. DO NOT DRIVE PAST IT TRUST ME! Not only is it the best Mexican food around the area, I would say it’s the best food around period. If they had more of a presence online I think they would get a ton more business. It would also be helpful if they would post their menu online. So glad this place is only 5 mins away from my home. Delicious food, would highly highly recommend.”

“This hidden gem on Lake Livingston in Onalaska, Texas is just flat out awesome. Family owned and operated and located at Hwy 190 & FM 356 it's some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. We stopped in close to closing time as we were unaware of their hours. I ordered the spicy sausage plate and it was like butter. Flavor and spice was spot on, texture as said like butter. My wife got a Brisket loaded Baked Potato sauce on the side. Off the chart delicious. Potato was not dried out, and brisket was like it was just off the pit. The staff, even though we arrived just before closing went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of properly! We both highly recommend this wonderful new restaurant.”

“Great new restaurant with an awesome view of the lake while you dine. Pasta is great. Pork chops are best I've had at a restaurant, thick, tender and juicy and loaded with flavor. Steak was loaded with flavor, tender and juicy. Fried shrimp is great with a light flavorful batter. Cheese sticks are superb. Did not need sauces for any meats as you would not want to cover the flavor. Garlic knots are quite yummy as well. Still a brand new restaurant so be patient as they work out the kinks. Full bar open to the outdoor patio. Cruise your boat on in and dock for a great meal as well. Evening sun beaming through the windows can be a bit hard on the eyes, but the view of the sunset makes it worth it! Only major complaint I have is no sweet tea at this time. (Suppose to be coming)”

“Right on the main highway and easy to see from the street. You pull right in a large parking lot easy to park. they have handicap access and a ramp to get you in the store. It's a large convenience store with a large food area. It's very clean and has restrooms. It was my first time here and I will come back again. I highly recommend this to anyone. “Jerry's has been in Onalaska, TX for years. The food was great, I had Chicken Fried Steak on a bun. My wife ate the special which was Pork Roast. We both receive twice as much as we could eat, and had to get to go plates. The service was friendly and quick. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the floor and table clothes were sticky to me. But my wife said she didn't notice it. The price was about middle of the road. We also shared a piece of chocolate cake, which had marshmallows in it, very sweet, but delicious.”

“Fast friendly service, a great margarita, and an incredibly great deal on the beef fajitas for two. My fiance and I ordered the beef fajitas for two, $24.95 which comes with 6 tortillas. We had to ask for 6 more tortillas for the to-go box. We simply couldn't eat it all. The leftovers filled the 6 tortillas and made another meal! Their salsa is also unusually different and really tasty. Go here if you're anywhere close!”

“We stayed at the lodge for a month and it was very nice. They offer nightly or monthly rates which I find very convenient. The rooms are spacious and clean, complete with cable and wifi. Very convenient to have the restaurant and little store right there. The only problem we had was our BBQ pit was stolen and one night there was a disturbance and the law was called. Other than that, it's an awesome little place right on the water.”
