First time in Texas, the food was great. The orange chicken is just spicy enough. And the blue bell ice cream was delicious
Went to the location in Amarillo (Interstate 40 & Soucy Road) of Lin's Grand Buffet and was pleasantly surprised by the spacious interior, attentive service, and the mostly-appetizing food selection available. Went during dinnertime, so 11-year old son and I were charged for 2 adults ($29.98), which is not so bad for an all-you-can eat buffet. The selection is pretty amazing - 4, two-sided large rows of mostly-Asian/Chinese cuisine selections - appetizers, entrees, desserts, a separate ice cream corner, as well as a dedicated section for pan-fried food (noodles, steaks, etc.) and another section for sushi. Plenty of tables and seats inside, with a big free parking lot outside (shared with nearby restaurants).
Ate here in January 2023 and it was good! Our party spent roughly $44 for two adults and two kids. It was about $12.50 per adult and $7.50 for a child.
There was a lot of variety of the familiar buffer specialties such as sweet and sour chicken, chicken skewers, ribs, fried shrimp, fish, noodles, rice, soups, veggies and so much more. They also jad mussels in shell, crawfish, and baby octopus.
There's also an area where sushi is made, and custom stir fry area where you can design your meal.
A selection of various desert (cakes, cookies, jello, fruit, pudding) complete with ice cream.
The food was decent, although a bit greasy (to be expected).
Bathrooms, carpets, and seats could use a good scrub.
Decorations were nice. Host checking us in up front was very nice. Wait staff super curious.
I'd come back here.
I took my family to Lin's Grand buffet during the weekend. Spent $60 for a family of five. To me, the money was worth it comparing to the over whelmingly abundant of food(desert, snacks, stable food, grill, sushi, ice cream, and more). The varieties of food could serve almost any preferences. It an ideal place to bring a big family there without much headache of everyone preferences. It is self-service restaurant. Everyone could at least find something they like from the varieties. I would say the food quality and taste is not bad. I like to bring my family there for a relax weekend. Nobody have to worry clean up and dishes. Kids don't fuss for sharing or fighting over their favorite. It is all you can eat. Just bring your appetite for food and your story to share. For all the above reasons, I give Lin's Grand buffet a thumb up for their services.
