“If you ever find yourself in Presidio you need to try this place. Very small, only three inside tables, and so clean. Simple menu. You do have to ask for chips and salsa. We shared the bean, cheese, and meat nachos, as we were eating later. Very good. Salsa has a great flavor.”

“The menu is a mix of American and Mexican and have had both on two visits. The Mexican food is classic and very good. On my last visit, I had the Fideo soup and the spinach salad with grilled salmon. The salmon was grilled perfectly with an excellent crispy finish. Service is good and the atmosphere is clean, spacious, bright. This will be my stop every time I visit Big Bend Ranch State Park.”

“As we were passing through Presidio, we chose to have lunch at Oasis because, at the time, the Google rating was 4.6. Our hopes were high but they were soon dashed. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak which was overcooked and smothered in lumpy gravy. Against my husband’s advice, I ordered the salmon as the menu was rather sophisticated. I’ve never had salmon jerky before! It wasn’t even worth sending back. One and done for us!”

“1st time I went a few weeks back, they were out of estofado for the Torta and I got a burger. It was a decent burger no complaints. But the 2nd time they had estofado and man, that was a really good torta. Best I have had in a while in town. Definitely will be going back when in town. Also red and green salsas were terrific as well.”

“The park ranger at Fort Leaton recomanded we try this place and said it was also dog friendly. This place is absolutely delicious, the customer service is great, the tacos, Jamaica and horchata were amazing. We definitely recomand El Changarrito to anyone that likes authentic Mexican food and it’s in the area. Our huskies also enjoyed resting here”
