“We were on a road trip from Arizona to Houston and we stopped off for something to eat. This place was recommended by the guy at the gas station. And it was a great choice! Although there was only 1 waitress this night she did an amazing job to help everyone and the place was packed! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. We had a great experience and we enjoyed our visit.”

“I was recently working in the area, and stopped in a few times after an evening swim in the state park, that is right down the road. Excellent food, very polite and welcoming service, and Jo is one pleasant fellow to shoot the sh#t with in the Cantina. Enjoyed meeting him and his company as I dined and drank. He is also has a wealth of local knowledge, lore and shared some very good stories. This place and it's people are truly one of those West Texas gems that are getting hard to find these days. I'll definitely be back anytime I'm in the area, and highly recommend you swing in!”

“Quaint off-highway stop near the local Post Office. I was looking for a quick, local bite when driving between El Paso and San Antonio. The burger was a bit too well done for my tastes, but it was seasoned well. The bun was delicious and the jalapenos were great. The highlight was the tots. Perfectly crispy and they automatically gave me salt and pepper even though I forgot to explicitly ask. It took about 20 minutes in total to get off the highway, find the place, park, order, get the food, and be back on the highway. Overall would definitely try again. I'm interested in their chili dog. $13 for burger and tots, no drink.”

“This is the type of authentic, friendly, roadside bar and restaurant that every corporate “neighborhood bar and grill” is trying to replicate. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is deservedly packed. Places like this are increasingly rare, and if you’re in the neighborhood this one worth stopping at, possibly making a detour for. Highly recommended.”
