“I showed up 30 minutes before closing and 3 young men didn’t seem hesitant to serve us. We spent about $75 of food and everything was delicious! We had everything from a a seafood dish platter to fried oysters and okra. Kids enjoyed their food too. I tipped overall $20 because they were very friendly and the service was awesome! Will definitely be back when we come into town again”

“I’m only leaving this review for Elizabeth’s performance. Fairly new employee. She is very friendly and courteous. She is the only who I see go above and beyond by making sure this store is clean. After each customer she will clean tables and seats promptly, take baskets and plates back after a customer will be finished eating, make sure fountain drink area is clean and stocked with what is needed. She also makes sure the store is swept often and throughly. Makes sure there is fresh coffee when I request. She is such a sweetheart. Nothing short of amazing! I’ve been coming here for many years to enjoy coffee with old friends and I have not seen anyone do what she does. Thank you!”

“If i could give more then 5 stars I would in a heartbeat! The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We stopped by passing through the area on our way elsewhere…the owners we beyond amazing people and their daughter we got to meet was precious! They heard it was my birthday and brought me out cake! The brisket grilled cheese was to die for. We loved getting to know the owners and my boyfriend got to play guitar with him as well. We are so glad we stopped here.”

The burger was really good, the meat was flavorful, the bun was a little sweet but overall good. Fried shrimp was a little greasy. The fries were undercooked not crispy enough, but the onion rings were good. And the hot wings were good. They have a variety of choices on a cafe type menu. Our waitress was great!”

It is a family-owned business and everything is made by scratch from the wonderful family who owns it. The recipes are all from days gone by passed down from generation to generation every once in awhile Cindy will throw in something new but you will basically get good old home cooking like you can't get anywhere other than your mother's house.
