Golden Hot Pot

We ordered the beef stew and fried rice. First let me say the food has good flavor but not quite what we expected. The beef stew is just meat and sauce, but the meat is not tender at all its tough and chewy. The fried rice comes with chicken but its 2 buffalo style drumettes, that are just cooked in the oven. So don't expect pieces of chicken in the rice. The menu we were given had one price but when we placed our ordet we were informed prices had changed and everything we ordered was $5 more than we thought. So as for us it was our first and probably last time there. But give it a try it might be better for you.

Cleanest African restaurant in the DFW. Also, the food is fresher than all the others. I can honestly say I love this place. Their braised fish is well made. It takes an hour to make so call ahead of time before ordering it. They have the potential to be the best in TX.

My friends and I stopped by Golden Hot Pot and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. You HAVE to try the yam porridge! Its delicious! I'll definitely be back for another visit soon. This is now my go to place for Nigerian food.

First, let me say that the customer service is excellent! In my experience, African restaurants are lacking in that area. I had the Efo Riro and plantains. I also had meat pies as well. The food is excellent with just the right balance of heat and flavor. I was a walk in and did not have to wait long for my to go order. I will be coming back soon.
