This place exceeded all expectations! I'm on the area for work and wanted to experience a rodeo
My coworker and I had a awesome time. The entire experience was memorable. I really enjoyed the little towm that is there. I would recommend this place to visit if in the area.
Visited Saturday night and had a great time. Show lasted about an hour and 45 minutes and was great entertainment. Booked VIP tickets but any would’ve been ok to be honest, VIP area is only with bar though. Even 17 year old Son enjoyed the event surprisingly. Fairly basic venue but the building is in excess of 100 years old which adds to the atmosphere actually.
I’m from Germany and I went with an American friend who showed me around at the Stockyards and later we went to the rodeo. A ticket for adults costs 20$. It is totally worth it and it was spectacular seeing those cowboys riding bulls and wild horses. Even if you can’t go to the rodeo ,which is on weekends by the way, the place is definitely worth seeing.
This was a very interesting and enjoyable show. I think this is definitely somewhere that you want to take guests or out of town visitors. Me being a local and seeing it for the first time was great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because my wife being the animal lover and all thought that the baby calves weren't being treated well by the handlers in the pen and also when they steer them up and throw them to the ground to tie them up. She just couldn't watch that part because she thought it was a bit cruel. I'm sure that there were other animal cruelty parts behind the scenes that we couldn't see. I also understand that this has been going on for many years and is just a part of the culture. I personally wouldn't see it for myself again unless another guest comes over.
We were passing through Ft. Worth and looking for something to do for our one evening in town. We saw that the rodeo was nearby and decided to check it out. We got down to the Stockyards a little early and had time to walk around the area before heading into the rodeo. It's located in a nice area with shops and dining. We really enjoyed the rodeo. It was a great place to spend the evening for people of all ages. This is a 100 percent family friendly venue. I would give the concession variety about a C+. Not a lot of options .I would eat dinner before going and maybe only plan to buy snacks at the rodeo. We will definitely go back if we find ourselves in Ft. Worth again.
