    We went to the Backspace on a whim after seeing it on several Google searches. Y’all this place was amazing! We got the roasted beets and cauliflower. The beets were fantastic! After the antipasta portion of the meal we settled on the fennel sausage pizza. It’s an 11 inch pizza and just enough for two people. We were there during happy hour. Great little place and perfect for a pizza night!

    Great slice of pizza in a cool little shop. Several choices, beer on tap, and a cool seating area with booths and a bar. Service was friendly and attentive and the slice was delicious!

    One of my favorite places in Austin. Laid back almost speakeasy vibe without any pretension. Great pizza and small plates.

    On the top best 20 places for lunch list for a reason! Such a charming, small place serving incredible dishes / mainly pizzas (flat bread style). Loved the old, rugged look! I got to go back!

    I've been to The Backspace a couple times now and each time we were lucky enough to get a couple seats at the bar. If planning in advance i would recommend a getting a reservation especially if there are more than 2 that will be going. Their antipasti and per la tavola items are exquisite! The last time we had the Baked Ricotta ????. We have had both the fennel sausage and roasted mushroom pizza. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice. And if you care to have a glass or bottle of wine with your meal they will help pair one that will compliment your choices best!
