I really used to enjoy madam ma’am’s. The Guad location wasn’t as nice as the new one is, but it had its charm and authenticity. The new location is a little pricier, and also has a little smaller of portions than what I was paying at the old location. The food is still the most accessible Thai I can get near the UT area, and still generous in size and delicious. There are some downsides unfortunately, they never seem to have their phone set up, so calling out is difficult, and when you walk in it’s not a very inviting seating dynamic. It can be hard to track down your waiter/waitress, and they always seem rushed.
I still love and order from here, just hoping they can iron out some of these issues that seem to be mostly managerial problems.
This is my go-to restaurant! There are so many delicious options and the atmosphere is very home-y. Perfect for any occasion and nice enough to bring your family when they come to visit.
My boyfriend and I have made this our go-to restaurant when we don't know what to go out to eat!
We have only been twice and I have only once on my own.
He gets the drunken noodle (really good) and I usually get the pineapple shrimp curry (It's so yummy!!)
Wow, I'm genuinely surprised that I didn't find this place sooner! This kinda hidden gem in West Campus offers the hungry student a place to have a nice warm meal and not have to spend a lot of money for it. A favorite among students are their "Bankrupt Noodles" as they are good and affordable, however I went for their Street Fried Rice, which is extremely delicious! I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a meal that leaves you full and your wallet fuller.
It isn't the cheapest, but this new location is large and nicer than the one on the drag was. They have some of the best soups and I will go back, for sure! I also shared spring rolls with my mom this time, and they were good--came with plenty of the spicy peanut sauce we enjoy.
